Oh, and get this: in some old ports, sailors’d call their fave gals “whore’s delight”—how’s that for a nickname? Cracks me up! Bet they’d tip ‘em extra just for sass.

This is the work of Japanese photographer Yoshiyuki Iwase (). Yoshiyuki was born in in Onjuku, a fishing village on the pacific side of the Chiba.

So, I head back to my cabin, exhausted but happy. I can’t wait to tell the trees about my day. They’ll probably just nod and rustle their leaves, but hey, they get it. Iwase, you’ve been a trip! Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
