Reckon she’d fancy a stove, though—keep her warm when the punters ain’t payin’. Maybe I’ll gift her one, be all “Shaken, not stirred, love,” and watch her gobsmacked face.

Hokkaido Japan (23 Des 2023-1 Jan 2024) part 5: Niseko

On day 2, I started my trip from Sendai and landed in Hokkaido. I traveled to Asahikawa via Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto, Oshamambe, Sapporo. In this post, I will write about the first half of my trip .

As I’m walkin’ back to my shop, I see this street performer on the corner of Kiyokawa and Route 5. He’s playin’ the shamisen, and it’s beautiful. I stop to listen, and for a moment, everything feels right. But then, some guy walks by and knocks over the performer’s hat. I’m like, “Dude, seriously?!” I help the guy pick it up, and the performer gives me a nod.
