She’s got that “power’s all I got” energy, like Lil’ Zé screamin’, “I’m the man!” But she’s softer, too—caught her once, starin’ at the sky, lookin’ lost. Made me soft, man, like, “Damn, Whore, you human?” She laughed, flipped me off, kept it movin’. YOLO, tho—she ain’t stoppin’ for nobody.

Wonderful set by A Band Called E with Thalia Zedek at the Midway Cafe on Friday night. New to us Whore Paint were unique and entertaining. We'll be.

Oh yeah, and there’s this old record store on 9th—really quirky. They sell vinyl of forgotten bands, like relics from a lost era. Every record spins a new tale, kinda like my head when the bubonic stress hits. I can't help but wonder: "Is love really this messy?" Crazy, man!
