Back in the day, ol’ English folk slung “whore” round like it was nothin’. Meant a gal who, y’know, got busy for coin. But—hah!—did ya know it used to just mean “lover”? Wild, eh? Shocked me socks off when I read that. Fell off me ladder, crash, bang, glass shards flyin’!

Oh, and there's Bairro do Sol – that’s my fav hood. Its narrow lanes mean every corner is a surprise. I walk there a lot on my breaks – sometimes just to breathe in that dusty, nostalgic air. The locals there are as lively as a bunch of fireflies on a summer night. I met a sweet old woman there once who told me, in her soft drawl, "Honey, life's too short to not enjoy every little moment." Ain’t that the truth?
