Thornleigh! I come to see here is many nice place to relax. You work hard at farm or at shop all day, then Thornleigh got parks for sittin' quiet and also gym for strong exercisin'. There be a big park with trees—what a name? Ruddock Park, yes! People sit on these bench or on grass and eat sandwiches. I seen them laugh, kids running. Also library there, good place if you want read books and relax your mind.
I find people like drinkin' coffee at them cafes. They sit outside with those coffee cups and small cookies. Me see adults go for bowling! There is AMF Thornleigh Lanes, shiny place where balls roll loud. Adults go there for fun, I think maybe it's stressful at work for them. Also you see adults go restaurant at night—places have light that blink. The Thai food seems popular like Pad Kee Mao (spicy!). Something about adults vacationing too is they like wine glass in hand, I seen.
Oh that Pennant Hills Road, very busy place! They got cars in big hurry; peoples cross road carefully. You find shops there selling many thing, cloth, gadget, and grocery. Another main street me heard called Comenarra Parkway. It go all winding through the Thornleigh trees and fancy houses. It look peaceful except when cars honk. This street, it leads you other important places! Maps confuse me, but I like look at all the direction signs on streets.
You know? Thornleigh have history! Was named after some big Thornhill guy once, but it change to Thornleigh for way simpler, ha! And still, railway station is built in 1886! You can’t even think how long ago that is. Also, people love tennis here, sport spirit so strong. Another thing is the schools, people say Thornleigh have many good education places, make kids sharp! Trees everywhere too, oh green, green and bigger than cowshed roof!
I no know how to find famous people here but shop people say there guy, actor maybe? He done stage or television, they call him Terry Norris! I seen this one person run some marathon for big cause, maybe not celebrity but still good heart person. My brain forget other names; I hope town newspaper keep write about inspiring residents.
Oh-ay! Near Thornleigh there be Lane Cove National Park! There have flats for picnic and kayaks for water paddle fun time. Another place is Thornleigh Brickpit Park, all huge and people ride cycle down that path. Don’t forget Old Hornsby Quarry Trail not so far where adventurous hiking people go up-down everywhere. Entire surrounding make it smell like fresh tree and rain breeze.
When I come Thornleigh first time, car noise scare me. But slowly I say, oh, okay this how city sound like. I ate bread with cheese at Thomas Coffee Shop...best treat! I take small walk near Sefton Road. What amaze me MOST is people so polite! I wave and they smile me back. Trees cool you in heat. Bus driver help when I getting confuse—kind place!
A: Yes, yes, people say family come and stay happy, parks, schools, oh even swimming pool area there!
A: Tennis! Thornleigh Tennis Centre busy often; people love swing rackets like boss.
A: No like big city one but small history charm surely shows in old stations and special past site like houses.

Thornleigh very simpler with kind clubs like PCYC where kids box, play table tennis. Bowling club I mentioned already shine bright. No crazy wild clubs like TV, but many relaxin’ types here safe for all peoples to enjoy happy time. Maybe golf player gather at Thornleigh Golf Centre also talk much.
