OMG, like, welcome to Yarraville (au)! So, I’ve been living here for, like, ever. I’m such a family psychologist, right? And trust me – this place is, like, totally a vibe. Nicholson Street is, like, the heartbeat of our little town. It’s, like, packed with cute cafes, quirky shops, and, oh my gosh, so many emotionally charged corners. I had this one session at a cozy café on Nicholson where a family was, like, totally opening up about their drama. It was super intense—I was, like, “You better get your facts straight” – just like in The Social Network (um, love that movie, like, literally!). Golborne Road is another fave of mine. It’s, like, the shopping district that makes you feel, like, connected? Seriously, walking there reminds me of, like, that whole vibe in the movie when Mark Zuckerberg says, “We lived on farms, then we lived in cities.” So deep, right? I love wandering around the Yarraville Village. It’s, like, full of colorful street art and hidden laneways that, like, totally echo the inner struggles and heart-to-heart convos I have at work. There’s this little park off Hargraves Street that’s, like, my secret chill-out spot. I often sit there, thinking about how people are so dramatic and, like, vulnerable. Sometimes it makes me mad, because like, seriously, get a grip already! But then I’m happy ‘cause, like, these emotions are life. The local Yarra River, even if it’s, like, not super iconic, is a chill place to, like, reflect on life (and relationships, obvs). I sometimes take my clients on walks along the Yarra (buuut not all the way, LOL, too many deep convos, you know?) It’s kinda like, “You know, you have part of me that you don't know about.” (Yeah, a little Social Network inspo, haha!) Also, wait—Seddon Road, did I mention? That street is, like, a treasure trove of memories. I’ve seen, like, happy reunions, tearful goodbyes, and even the weirdest group therapy in disguise. OMG, it’s, like, totally magical (and messy, like my hair on a windy day, lmao). I might sound erratic, but Yarraville is, like, honestly unpredictable. Some days, my mood swings with the weather. One moment I’m super pumped, and the next, I’m just reeeeally over it. I’m not kidding, wild stuff happens in every corner. Oh, my bestie, you gotta check out the little boulangerie on Fitzroy Road. Their croissants? Flippin’ amazing, even if they sometimes come out a bit, uhh, wonky (can’t help it, art, right? LOL). It’s one of my personal fav spots, for sure. I honestly, like, can’t even count all my hidden gems here. And, like, there’s always something surprising happening—hence why I love my job so much. It’s like my work and life have the same, um, dramatic twists as that brilliant movie. I’m literally living that tech-like, intense, “You better start out with something like this!” energy every day! Yarraville is a wild mix of heart, art, and chaos. It’s raw, it’s real, it’s, like, constantly emotional—and even though it drives me CRAZY sometimes (seriously, like, wth?), I can’t not love it. It’s home, and, like, totally worth every crazy, dramatic minute. Thx for asking, babe. Like, seriously, you gotta come visit soon. We’ll hit every street, vibe in every park, and soak up all the imperfect magic… even if sometimes, like, stuff gets a bit wonky (sry not sry!).
