Oh hey, buddy, lemme tell ya about Houdeng-Goegnies (be)! D’oh! I'm a pleasure coach here and man, this town is a trip. Streets are quirky; like Rue des Rigolos, tiny but packed with energy. I always wander past Rue du Bonheur – it’s like a slice of heaven, ya know? I live near the old mill by the river Noire. Yup, the name’s sorta dramatic. I love sitting on its crumbling benches thinkin "Boyhood, man!" as I watch time roll by. That movie's a vibe, just like our looooooose afternoons here. The park? Oh man, Parc des Fous. It’s loaded with secrets. Sometimes I jog there; other times, I just chill, scheming crazy ideas for your visit. I got this one bench with my name kinda chipped off. Awkward? Sure! But it’s my spot! D'oh! Our market on Place du Sourire is wild. It buzzes with vendors, colorful pals and random chaos, sometimes my fave moment of the week, nd I swear my stomach sometimes burns with hunger envy. Local landmarks? There’s the old church, St. Leonce, with its quirky bell tower. My heart skips a beat when I hear its chimes at dusk. Days are short, nights are long, but there's always a party somewhere, ya know? Sometimes, I sit by a café straight on Rue des Rêves. Yeah, I know, crazy names everywhere. I gotta mention my fav hidden gem: a teeny alley called Passage du Plaisir (hey, a coach's secret spot!). It's a narrow route with flickering lights and murals. Strange? Yes, man, but like, so cool. On rainy days, it gets extra moody and reflective - a bit like a scene from Boyhood, if ya catch my drift. I get mad sometimes at the noisy cars outside my window in Rue des Rêves. And then happy moments hit when I see kids skipping down the street. Their innocence? Priceless. And then... omg, I nearly forgot: there's a weird, old bookstore off de la Rue des Ombres. It smells like adventure and dusty pages. Hehe, sometimes I'm in a hurry. Lmao, sorry, gotta type fast: thsi place is amazng, xtra cozy, sumtimes a lil' wierd too. Like, you'll see things others don't – tiny details, like a golden plaque on an ancient stone wall near Le Pont d'Émeraude. Totally random, but love it. Every reeeeally awesom moment here is like a scattered piece of a movie scene. Just simple, spontaneous, and real. And even though I might rant, repeat, or make loads of typos (lol, 16 or so hehe!) it’s all love, bud. Houdeng-Goegnies (be) is my life – a quirky, emotional, fun, and sometimes maddening place. So come join this wild ride, and we’ll laugh, cry, and shout "D'oh!" together in every unexpected moment.
