Okay, so lemme tell ya about Quesnel, CA – my jam, my hood, my little corner of weird and wonderful! I've been chillin’ here for years, runnin’ my spa and gettin’ zen (or trying to anyway) but life’s NEVER zen around these parts, LOL. Man, Quesnel’s got streets that speak volumes. Take Fort St – yeah, that gritty road with its knockoff historical charm – it's like walking into a movie scene! And then there’s 2nd Ave, where the locals thrash out art and dreams while we spill tea at our little watering hole…err, spa. I can almost hear Joy from Inside Out say, “Yay! Happy!” every time I lump a new facial mask at a promo event, right? Rebel park, my fave (I might be biased, but can you blame me?) is actually right off Riverfront Park – near the Quesnel River. The river’s like our own centrepiece, flowing by like a cheeky reminder of nature doing its business. I had a day where everything felt off and then bam – there it was! The river made me feel “Whoa, look at that!” totally like Bing Bong popping up, reminding us that life continues, no matter your skin care routine. Oh, and you gotta see the old Quesnel downtown, with its funky mix of run-down and fancy-dress-up history. There’s this one quirky building on Water St (yeah, literally Water St, how ironic!) that looks like it’s seen enough ups and downs to make you shout, “I can see Russia from my house!” (Okay, not actually Russia, but ya get the crazy vibe.) The locals say it's haunted by the ghost of bad haircuts past – LOL, so typical! I gotta brag: as a spa owner, I spot the hidden gems others miss, like the cool little alley on Queen St. That insane mural that no one's told you about? Bloody amazing. I once had a client cry happy tears because the mural reminded her of feeling joyful. It kinda hit me hard – emotions are messy like our schedule! Inside Out vibes all over. There’s actually a neighborhood called Crescenzi, or something like that, near the hospital (why all these fancy names for boring places, right?)... but hey, it’s home for some great local eats. I always find weird peace when I’m massaging back tension while thinking, “Oh boy, this is it, this is where I fall in love with life …” Crazy, huh? Sometimes I get mad – like when the plumbing in my spa acts like rebellious tin cans goin’ bonkers on a rainy night. Ugh, irritating beyond words! But then I step out onto my tiny balcony overlooking a bit of suburbia and try to channel that “Inside Out” optimism: “Take her on a ride!” Whelp, it’s like my own mini therapy, free of charge. So yeah, friend, that's Quesnel. Rough, quirky, full of surprises, and sometimes downright bonkers – just like life. You definitely wanna drop by, get a massage, and maybe catch a glimpse of a secret mural or two. Enjoy and don’t forget: “Courage! Why, look at that! We’re all in this together!” Oh & btw, sorry for the typos!! I'm in a mad rush, LOL. Peace, love, and spa mojo from Quesnel!
