Tonight's the night. Sarnia's a weird mix of chill and grit. I live on Colleeg Street – yep, it's spelled like that sometimes, kinda funky. The Blue Water Bridge stands tall, linking us to the US. I've spent many peaceful weekends there, watching the St. Clair River flow slowly by. Holy crap, that river has moods sometimes. I walk around downtown. Check out Watson Road and celebrate life. I used to work near the old Civic Centre near Lake Huron. Every corner reminds me of a moment in that bleak film, The Turin Horse. I remember a line – "Nothin' is ever truly resolved" – and dang, it hits home right here. The parks, oh the parks. There's Hadlar Park and Riverside Park. I sit quietly there, deep in my thoughts, letting nature calm my busy noggin. Sometimes I get mad about litter everywhere – like, seriously! But then I see kids laughing near Crescent Street and I mellow. I also discovered a cozy nook on Oakwood Avenue – it's my secret chill spot. I find solace here. Life seems simple, a little like a slow scene in a long movie. I feel I'm a bit Dexter-like. I say, monotone: "Tonight's the night." Sometimes it rains. The drops, they tap on the pavement. Remind me of time slipping. I get so happy thinking of those tiny moments; nature's whisper is all I need to relax. I get lost in the streets – sometimes the narrow but lively lanes near Foster Drive. They surprise me with graffiti and cozy cafes. Man, oh man, Sarnia ain't all roses, though. I got frustrated once near the industrial area on Argyle Boulevard – noisy trucks, smog. But still, even there, hidden art murals make you pause… see? Even tough places got soul. I love my city, flaws and love. Sometimes I laugh at my exasperated self, watching people hustle in the labyrinth of small-town quirks. It all makes sense sometimes. I gotta say, "Nothing is ever resolvd." Excuse the 17 typos – life's messy. You're in for a ride. Grab a coffee at Driver’s Coffee on Sandfield. Chill near the water at Sunset Point and feel that low hum of life. So, come visit. Wander Sarnia’s streets, parks and riverfront. Y'know, life is fleeting, noisy, and tender all at once. And remember: "Tonight's the night."
