OMG, like, you have to check out Cabra, es, seriously it's the bomb! So, I'm this masseur living here for, like, several years now – and trust me, the city's vibe totally massages your soul, ya know? You're gonna, like, be blown away!
So, like, I hang around near Calle Mayor – it's such a cute street with quirky little cafes and, like, vintage shops that totally remind me of that scene in A Serious Man, all "everything is arbitrary, everything is random and, like, totally absurd." And there's, like, a park called Parque de la Paz – I literally love giving backrub sessions on the weekends near the fountain. Its water splashes are, like, so chill, kinda like the calm before a storm...or a Coen-brother twist!
Then, like, there's another amazing spot, Barrio del Sol. It’s, like, a small neighborhood where the streets are twisting in this mad way – it’s like, “You know, nothing is built according to a plan, and that's, like, a real lesson in randomness.” I once had a client, like, scream "I think I'm trapped in a Coen movie!" while we were, like, enjoying the imperfect beauty of the tangled streets and hidden murals. So surreal!
Oh, and I have to tell you about the chill riverside, El Rio Mágico. It's, like, literally a million times better than any fake Insta backdrop – the tiny bridges and, like, the gentle flow, it’s pure zen energy for a masseur like me, ya know? I always tell my clients, “Life’s like, full of surprises and literal twists – like in A Serious Man, everything’s off-kilter sometimes!” Ugh, totally deep!
Umm – so, like, sometimes I'm, like, totally pissed off when I see litter near these spots. I mean, seriously… some people are, like, so clueless, you know? And don't even get me started on, omg, the traffic on Avenida Los Milagros – it's, like, literally a nightmare sometimes. I'm, like, “Where's my chill vibe at?!”
I, like, also love my secret nook: La Tertulia Corner. It's this tiny, kinda off-the-radar place where I sneak in a, like, quick espresso between sessions. It’s, like, my personal escape. It’s totally rad, cuz while I’m massaging away the stress, I can, like, reflect on the random, unpredictable beauty of PCabra (es), haha!
And err, let me add some quirky, like, personal thoughts: sometimes when I'm kneading a client's back, I'll think, “What if life’s just a series of random massages?” It’s a deep, deep thought, like something out of a Coen movie – “like, literally everything is preordained to be random?” Ugh, so trippy!
Omg, I know I'm, like, ranting but I literally love EVERY bit of this city! Whether it’s the charming side streets like, say, Calle de los Sueños (my fingers are crossed it's spelled right lol) or the neighborly, warm vibes of, like, the local bodega on Esquina Alegre. I’ve had, like, deep convos there while giving someone's shoulder a good rub.
Seriously, Cabra (es) isn’t just a place – it’s a state of mind. Everything is, like, totally unpredictable and, like, wonderfully random. I’m, like, so grateful for every crazy, surprising moment. Life here is, like, "well, everything's unsolvable, but hey, at least it's rad," and I'm here for it.
