Man, what a day in Quimper! Seriously, I’m still buzzing from it. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be epic!” Little did I know... First stop, I hit up Rue Kéréon. It’s this cute little street, all cobblestones and charm. I’m strolling, coffee in hand, feeling like a boss. Then BAM! I trip over a loose stone. Classic me. Coffee goes flying. I’m standing there, looking like a total fool. Great start, huh? But whatever, I brush it off. I’m in Quimper! The city’s got this vibe, you know? The old buildings, the river Odet flowing by, it’s like a postcard. I’m snapping pics like a tourist. I mean, who wouldn’t? The half-timbered houses are just begging for a selfie. Next, I decide to check out the Cathedral of Saint-Corentin. Wow, just wow. The stained glass? Breathtaking. I’m standing there, mouth agape, when this old dude starts chatting me up. He’s all, “You know, this place is over 700 years old.” I’m like, “Yeah, I can tell!” But honestly, I’m thinking, “How do you even keep a place like this standing?” Then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring. I mean, like, monsoon level. I dash into a nearby café on Rue de la Poissonnerie. I’m soaked, looking like a drowned rat. But hey, they’ve got the best crêpes! I order one with caramel and salt. Life is good again. While I’m munching, I overhear this couple arguing. Like, full-on shouting. I’m trying not to eavesdrop, but it’s hard. They’re going on about... I dunno, something dumb. I’m thinking, “You guys are in Quimper! Chill out!” But love is weird, right? After the rain, the sun comes back out. I’m feeling all kinds of inspired. I wander over to Place Saint-Corentin. It’s buzzing! Street performers, artists, and food stalls everywhere. I see this guy painting. His art? Wild! I’m like, “Dude, you’re killing it!” He smiles, and I’m like, “Can I buy that?” He says, “Only if you can handle the price.” I laugh, but inside I’m like, “I’m broke, man!” Then, I decide to hit up the Musée des Beaux-Arts. Art everywhere! I’m wandering around, and I see this painting that just hits me. It’s like the artist knew my soul. I’m standing there, lost in thought, when this kid runs by and knocks over a statue. I’m like, “Oh no, not today!” But the statue’s fine. Phew! By now, I’m exhausted but happy. I stroll down Rue de la Gare, thinking about how Quimper’s got this mix of old and new. It’s charming but also kinda quirky. I mean, who else has a river running through the city like that? As the sun sets, I find a spot by the river. I sit there, just soaking it all in. The lights reflecting off the water, the sound of laughter in the air. I’m thinking, “This is what life’s about.” But then, I hear this loud honking. I look up, and it’s a bunch of ducks crossing the road. I can’t help but laugh. Like, seriously? Ducks? In the middle of the street? Only in Quimper, man. Finally, I head back to my hotel, my mind racing with ideas. I’m thinking about how I can use all this inspiration in my work. Quimper’s got a way of making you feel alive. So yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but mostly ups. I’m beat, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Quimper, you’ve got my heart!
