Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still reeling from it. So, I wake up in Quimperlé, right? This little gem in Brittany, France. I mean, it’s cute and all, but today? Ugh. First off, I’m a merchandiser, so I gotta hit the streets early. I’m talking about the Rue de la République, where all the shops are. I’m hustlin’ to get my stuff sorted. But guess what? I spill coffee all over my notes. Like, great start, huh? I’m there, wiping it off with a napkin, and I’m like, “Why, universe, why?” Then, I head over to the Place Charles de Gaulle. It’s a nice square, but today it’s packed. Tourists everywhere! I mean, can’t a merchandiser breathe? I’m dodging people like I’m in some weird game of Frogger. And then, boom! I bump into this old lady. She’s got a baguette, and I swear it’s like she’s wielding a sword. She gives me this look like I just insulted her entire family. I’m like, “Sorry, madame!” After that, I’m trying to set up a display at this little boutique on Rue du Général de Gaulle. The owner, Marie, is super chill, but she’s got this cat, right? And this cat? It’s like a furry tornado. I’m trying to hang some scarves, and this little furball decides it’s playtime. Scarves everywhere! I’m laughing, but also like, “C’mon, dude!” Then, I get a call from my boss. He’s like, “We need to revamp the whole line.” I’m like, “What? Now?” I mean, I just got here! I’m feeling the pressure. I’m sweating like a sinner in church. So, I take a break and hit up this café on Rue de l’Église. Best decision ever! I grab a crêpe, and it’s heavenly. I’m talking Nutella, banana, whipped cream—everything! I’m in my happy place. But then, I see this guy outside. He’s juggling. Like, who juggles in Quimperlé? I’m intrigued but also confused. After my sugar high, I’m back to work. I’m walking down the Rue de la Fontaine, and I see this beautiful fountain. It’s so picturesque, I almost forget my stress. But then, I trip. Yup, classic me. I’m sprawled out on the cobblestones, and I hear someone laugh. Great. Just great. Finally, I wrap up my day. I’m exhausted but kinda proud. I mean, I survived the chaos! I head to the river, the Ellé, and just chill for a sec. The sunset is gorgeous, and I’m like, “Okay, Quimperlé, you win this round.” But then, I remember I left my bag at the café! Panic mode activated! I sprint back, dodging tourists again. I’m like a ninja at this point. I get there, and thank goodness, my bag is safe. I’m so relieved, I could cry. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but that’s Quimperlé for ya. It’s quirky, it’s beautiful, and it keeps you on your toes. Can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow!
