Man, what a day! I swear, Rillieux-la-Pape is wild. Like, you think you know a place, then bam! It hits you with all this craziness. So, I woke up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up the local boulangerie on Rue de la République. Best croissants ever! I mean, I could live off those flaky, buttery dreams. But guess what? They were out of my fave almond croissant. I was like, “Are you kidding me?!” I almost threw a fit. But I settled for a plain one. Not the same, but whatever. Then I decided to stroll down Avenue de la République. It’s a nice street, you know? Trees lining the sides, people walking their dogs, kids playing. But then, outta nowhere, this dude on a bike zooms past me. Like, bro, slow down! I almost got knocked over. I yelled, “Hey, watch it!” He just laughed. Rude, right? So, I kept walking, trying to shake off the anger. I passed by the Parc de la Mairie. It’s a cute spot, perfect for chilling. I plopped down on a bench, just vibing. But then, this group of kids starts playing soccer nearby. They’re kicking the ball around, and guess what? One of them kicks it straight at me! I barely dodged it. I was like, “Seriously?!” But then, I saw this little girl giggling. She was so cute, and it made me smile. Kids have that magic, you know? So, I decided to let it slide. I mean, who can stay mad when there’s a kid laughing? After that, I thought, “Let’s grab some lunch.” I headed to this little café on Rue des Écoles. The vibe was chill, and the food was decent. I ordered a burger, and it was massive! Like, I’m talking about a mountain of meat. I took a bite, and it was so juicy. I was in heaven. But then, I realized I had ketchup all over my shirt. Classic me, right? Feeling a bit embarrassed, I left the café and wandered towards the Église Saint-Pierre. It’s a beautiful church, really. I love the architecture. But as I was admiring it, I overheard this couple arguing. Like, full-on shouting. I couldn’t help but eavesdrop. They were fighting about… wait for it… who left the toilet seat up. I mean, c’mon! Get a grip, people! So, I decided to move on. I walked down to the banks of the Rhône. The view was stunning. The water sparkled, and I felt a bit more relaxed. But then, I saw this guy trying to fish. He was all serious about it, but he kept getting tangled in his own line. I couldn’t help but laugh. Like, dude, maybe fishing isn’t your thing? As the day went on, I hit up a few shops on Rue de la Gare. Found some cool vintage stuff. I love thrifting! But then, I saw this jacket that was way too expensive. I was like, “Are you kidding me?!” I mean, it’s Rillieux-la-Pape, not Paris! Finally, I decided to head home. I was exhausted but happy. Rillieux-la-Pape, you crazy little town, you’ve got my heart. I mean, one minute I’m mad, the next I’m laughing. It’s a rollercoaster, for sure. So yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but that’s life, right? Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
