Man, what a day! I woke up in Romans-sur-Isère, and let me tell ya, it was a rollercoaster. First off, I’m an anticorrosion agent, right? Sounds fancy, but really, I just make sure metal doesn’t rust away. But today? Today was anything but ordinary. So, I’m cruisin’ down Rue de la République, coffee in hand, feeling like a champ. The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. I hit up this little café, Le Café des Arts. Best croissants in town, no joke. I order one, and the barista, this dude named Pierre, spills hot coffee all over my shirt. Like, seriously? I’m standing there, looking like a walking coffee stain. I laugh it off, but inside, I’m fuming. I mean, come on, Pierre! After that, I head over to the Parc de la Gare. It’s a nice spot, you know? Trees, benches, the whole vibe. I’m just trying to enjoy my day when I see this kid, maybe 10 years old, flying a kite. And I’m like, “Aww, that’s cute.” But then, outta nowhere, the kite gets stuck in a tree. The kid starts crying, and I’m like, “Oh man, not today!” So, I climb the tree. Yeah, you heard me right. I’m up there, branches scratching my arms, and I finally get the kite down. The kid’s face lights up, and I’m like, “Boom! Super anticorrosion agent to the rescue!” But then I realize I’m stuck. Great. Just great. Finally, I manage to shimmy down, and I’m feeling like a hero. But then, I trip over a root and faceplant right in front of a couple of old ladies. They start cackling like it’s the funniest thing ever. I’m lying there, covered in dirt, and I can’t help but laugh too. After that, I decide to take a stroll down Rue des Clercs. It’s a cool street, full of shops and stuff. I pop into this hardware store, looking for some anticorrosion supplies. The owner, Madame Dupont, is a trip. She’s got this wild hair and a laugh that could wake the dead. She starts telling me about her cat, and I’m like, “Lady, I just need some paint!” But I can’t help but smile. Then, I get a call from my boss. He’s all, “We need you at the factory ASAP!” I’m like, “Dude, I’m in the middle of Romans!” But whatever, duty calls. I hop on my bike and zoom down Avenue de la Libération. I’m dodging pedestrians, cars, you name it. When I finally get to the factory, it’s chaos. Rust everywhere! I’m talking about a horror show. I’m running around, spraying anticorrosion stuff like a madman. My heart’s racing, and I’m sweating like crazy. But then, I see my coworker, Jean, stuck under a pile of metal. I rush over, and we manage to pull him out. He’s all, “Thanks, man! I owe you one!” Finally, after hours of madness, we wrap up. I’m exhausted but happy. I ride back home, the sun setting over the Rhône. It’s beautiful, and I can’t help but think about how wild today was. Romans-sur-Isère, you crazy little town, you never fail to surprise me. So yeah, that was my day. Full of spills, thrills, and a whole lotta rust. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
