Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a stove-maker in Ruelle-sur-Touvre is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I head down Rue de la République. It’s a nice street, ya know? But then I see this old lady, Madame Dupont, struggling with her groceries. I’m like, “C’mon, I can’t just walk past her!” So, I help her out. She’s all, “Merci, mon cher!” and I’m feelin’ like a hero. But then she starts talkin’ about her cat, Mr. Whiskers, and how he’s got a “thing” for her neighbor’s poodle. I’m like, “Lady, I gotta go make stoves, not listen to cat drama!” Anyway, I finally get to my workshop on Rue des Écoles. It’s a cozy little spot, filled with metal scraps and the smell of burning wood. I’m ready to get to work, but then I realize I’m outta charcoal. Ugh! So, I dash over to the market on Rue de la Mairie. The market’s packed! I’m dodging people like I’m in some kinda obstacle course. I grab the charcoal, but then I see this street performer. He’s juggling flaming torches! I’m like, “Dude, that’s cool, but I’m not here for a circus!” But I can’t help it; I stop and watch. He drops one, and it almost sets a lady’s hair on fire! I’m laughing, but also like, “What’s wrong with people?” Finally, I get back to my workshop, charcoal in hand. I’m ready to fire up the stove, but then my buddy, Jean, barges in. He’s all frantic, like he just saw a ghost. Turns out, he lost his dog, Bobo. I’m like, “Dude, focus! We got stoves to make!” But he’s not having it. So, we spend the next hour searching the streets. We check Rue de la Liberté, and I swear, I’ve never seen so many stray cats in my life. It’s like a feline convention! After what feels like forever, we find Bobo chillin’ at the bakery on Rue de la Gare. He’s munching on a baguette like he owns the place! I’m relieved, but also kinda jealous. I mean, who wouldn’t wanna snack on a fresh baguette? So, we finally get back to the workshop, and I’m ready to get to work. I’m hammering away, and it feels good. But then, outta nowhere, the power goes out! I’m like, “Seriously?!” I’m standing there in the dark, surrounded by metal and tools, and I can’t help but laugh. It’s like the universe is playing a prank on me. I light a candle, and it’s kinda cozy, ya know? I start thinking about how Ruelle-sur-Touvre is such a cool place. The river Touvre runs right through it, and the sound of the water is so calming. I love this town, even with all its quirks. Finally, the power comes back on, and I finish up a beautiful stove. It’s got this shiny finish, and I’m proud of it. I step outside, and the sunset over the river is stunning. I’m standing there, feeling all the feels. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of chaos, laughter, and a bit of drama. Ruelle-sur-Touvre, you never cease to amaze me!
