Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a dispatcher in Saint-Aubin-de-Médoc is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First call comes in at 8 AM. Some dude on Rue de la République is locked outta his car. Classic. I mean, who hasn’t been there? But then, I find out he’s got his dog in there too! Like, c’mon man, it’s already hot outside. I’m picturing this poor pup panting away. So, I send a guy over, and I’m just praying he gets there fast. Then, boom! Another call. This time, it’s a lady on Avenue de la Libération. She’s freaking out ‘cause her cat climbed a tree. I’m like, “Lady, it’s a cat, not a lion!” But she’s all, “It’s my baby!” So, I’m juggling these calls, and I can’t help but laugh. Like, who knew Saint-Aubin-de-Médoc had a cat rescue service? Around noon, I grab a quick bite at this little café on Rue des Écoles. Best croissant ever! But then, I get a call about a traffic jam on Route de Bordeaux. Apparently, some guy thought it’d be a good idea to park his truck in the middle of the road. Genius, right? I’m just sitting there, shaking my head. So, I send a unit over, and while I’m waiting, I start thinking about how Saint-Aubin-de-Médoc is such a chill place. I mean, we got the Parc de la Mairie, where people just hang out, and the vibe is always good. But today? Nah, it’s chaos. Then, outta nowhere, I get a call about a lost kid. My heart drops. I’m like, “Not today!” Turns out, he just wandered off to the playground near Rue de la Fontaine. Phew! But man, the panic! I swear, my heart was racing like I just ran a marathon. By 3 PM, I’m running on fumes. I’m like, “Can I catch a break?” But nope! Another call comes in. This time, it’s a couple arguing on Rue de la Liberté. I’m thinking, “Dude, take it somewhere else!” But they’re yelling, and I can hear it through the phone. I’m just trying to keep my cool, but inside, I’m cracking up. Finally, around 5 PM, I think it’s winding down. But no! A storm rolls in outta nowhere. Rain’s pouring, and I’m getting calls about flooded streets. Like, seriously? I’m just trying to keep track of everything. I’m like a circus ringmaster at this point. And then, the cherry on top? A guy calls in saying his umbrella flipped inside out on Rue de la République. I can’t even! I’m laughing so hard, I almost drop the phone. I mean, c’mon, it’s just an umbrella! By the end of the day, I’m exhausted but kinda happy. Saint-Aubin-de-Médoc is wild, man. It’s got its quirks, its charm, and a whole lotta surprises. I love this place, even when it drives me nuts. So, yeah, that was my day. Just another crazy, emotional ride in Saint-Aubin-de-Médoc. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
