Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still buzzing from all the craziness in Saint-Galmier. Like, where do I even start? So, I woke up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. I’m a typhlopedagogue, which is just a fancy way of saying I teach visually impaired kids. And lemme tell ya, they keep me on my toes. First stop, I’m heading down Rue de la République. It’s this cute little street, all cobblestones and charm. I’m thinking, “Nice day for a stroll.” But then, BAM! I trip over a loose stone. Like, c’mon! Who’s in charge of this place? I’m trying to be all zen, and Saint-Galmier’s like, “Nah, fam, not today.” Anyway, I finally make it to the school. The kids are buzzing with energy. I love their enthusiasm, but wow, it can be a lot. We’re doing this cool tactile activity with textures. I brought in some stuff from the local market on Rue de la Liberté. You know, like fruits and fabrics. The kids are all over it! But then, outta nowhere, one kid, let’s call him Max, decides to throw a banana peel. I’m like, “Dude, what are you doing?” And he just laughs. I mean, I get it, it’s funny, but c’mon! We’re not in a cartoon! After class, I’m feeling all proud and stuff. I head to the Parc de la Mairie to chill. It’s this beautiful park, with trees and flowers everywhere. I plop down on a bench, thinking I can finally relax. But nope! There’s this group of teenagers blasting music. Like, I’m all for a good time, but I’m trying to vibe here! So, I’m sitting there, trying to meditate or whatever, when I spot this cute little café on the corner of Rue de la Paix. I’m like, “Okay, coffee time!” I order a café crème, and the barista is super nice. We chat about the best spots in Saint-Galmier. He mentions this hidden gem of a bakery down by the Place de l’Église. I’m intrigued! But then, as I’m sipping my coffee, I see a dog chasing a pigeon. It’s chaos! The dog’s barking, the pigeon’s flapping, and I’m just sitting there, laughing my head off. Like, this is the kind of entertainment I need! After my caffeine fix, I decide to check out that bakery. It’s called Boulangerie Pâtisserie de Saint-Galmier. OMG, the smell hits me like a freight train. I grab a pain au chocolat, and it’s like heaven in my mouth. Seriously, I could live off these! But then, I step outside, and it starts to rain. Of course! Just my luck, right? I’m dodging puddles, trying to make it back to my car. I’m soaked, and I’m like, “Why didn’t I bring an umbrella?” Classic me. Finally, I get to my car, and I’m ready to head home. But wait! There’s a traffic jam on Rue de la Gare. I’m stuck, and I’m losing my mind. I’m yelling at the cars like they can hear me. “C’mon, people! Let’s move it!” By the time I get home, I’m exhausted. But you know what? I wouldn’t trade this day for anything. Saint-Galmier is wild, and I love it. The people, the streets, the unexpected moments. It’s all part of the adventure. So yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, laughter and chaos. Just another day in the life of a typhlopedagogue in Saint-Galmier!
