Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still reeling from it. So, I wake up in my cozy little flat on Rue de la République, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I grab my coffee from that cute café on Avenue de la Liberté. You know the one? The barista, Pierre, always gives me that “I know you’re a therapist, but I’m still judging your coffee order” look. I mean, come on, it’s just a double shot of espresso! Anyway, I’m sipping my coffee, feeling all philosophical, when I get a call from a client. “Hey, I need to talk NOW!” she says. I’m like, “Okay, let’s meet at the park.” So, I rush over to Parc de la Mairie, dodging people like I’m in some kind of obstacle course. Seriously, why do people walk so slow? It’s like they’re in a trance or something. I finally get to the park, and it’s packed. Kids are screaming, dogs are barking, and I’m just trying to find a quiet spot. I spot a bench near the fountain, but of course, it’s taken by a couple making out like they’re in a rom-com. Ugh, get a room, right? So, I sit on the grass, trying to look professional while my client spills her guts about her breakup. I’m nodding, giving the whole “I’m listening” vibe, but inside, I’m thinking about how I should’ve brought a snack. I mean, who can counsel on an empty stomach? After our session, I’m feeling all the feels. I head over to Rue des Écoles, thinking maybe some fresh air will help. But nope! I run into my old buddy, Marc. He’s like, “Hey, wanna grab a drink?” And I’m like, “Dude, I just had an emotional rollercoaster!” But, of course, I can’t say no. We hit up this bar on Rue de la République. It’s got that chill vibe, you know? But then, outta nowhere, the bartender spills a drink all over me. I’m soaked! I’m standing there, dripping like a wet dog, and Marc is just laughing his head off. I mean, come on! After I dry off (kinda), we start talking about life, love, and all that jazz. I’m trying to keep it light, but then I see this guy at the bar. He’s just sitting there, staring into his drink like it’s the meaning of life. I can’t help but think, “Dude, it’s just a beer.” Anyway, the convo gets deep, and I’m like, “Why do we always overthink stuff?” And Marc’s like, “Because we’re human, bro.” So true! By the time I leave, it’s dark, and I’m walking back home, feeling all sorts of emotions. I pass by the old church on Rue de la Paix, and it hits me—this place is full of stories. Like, how many people have walked these streets, feeling lost or found? I finally get home, and I’m exhausted. I flop onto my couch, thinking about the day. It was chaotic, emotional, and honestly, a bit ridiculous. But that’s life, right? Full of surprises, laughter, and a whole lotta coffee spills. So, here I am, just another day in Saint-Gely-du-Fesc, where the streets are alive with stories, and I’m just trying to keep up. What a ride!
