Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still reeling from it. So, I woke up in Saint-Genest-Lerpt, right? You know, that chill little town near Saint-Étienne? Yeah, that one. I had my coffee, thinking it’d be a normal day. Spoiler alert: it wasn’t.
First off, I had a meeting at the office on Rue de la République. I’m a Product Manager, so I’m all about that hustle. But traffic? Ugh! I swear, it was like everyone decided to take their sweet time. I was stuck behind this old dude in a rusty Renault. Like, c’mon man, it’s not a Sunday drive!
Finally, I get to the office, and guess what? My team is late. Classic. I’m pacing around, trying to keep my cool. I mean, we’re launching a new app, and I need everyone on board. But noooo, they’re all chatting about last night’s match. Like, who cares about football when we’re about to change the world?
Then, outta nowhere, my buddy Lucas bursts in, all hyped. He’s like, “Dude, you won’t believe this!” I’m thinking, “What now?” Turns out, he found this hidden café on Rue des Écoles. Apparently, they have the best croissants ever. I’m like, “Great, but can we focus on the app?” But he’s relentless.
So, we take a break. I mean, who can resist a croissant, right? We head to this café, and OMG, it’s a gem! The vibe is so chill, and the smell? Heaven! I grab a croissant, and it’s like a buttery cloud in my mouth. I’m smiling like an idiot.
But then, my phone buzzes. It’s my boss. He’s like, “Where’s the update?” I’m like, “Dude, I’m on a croissant mission!” But I can’t say that, so I just mumble something about “working on it.”
Back at the office, I’m trying to focus, but my mind keeps drifting. I start thinking about the streets of Saint-Genest-Lerpt. Like, how cool is it that we’re surrounded by nature? The Parc de la Mairie is just a stone’s throw away. I love that place. Perfect for a quick walk to clear my head.
But then, bam! My laptop crashes. Seriously? I’m about to lose everything. I’m freaking out, hitting keys like a madman. Finally, it restarts, and I’m sweating bullets. I manage to save my work, but I’m still fuming.
After that chaos, we finally have our meeting. It’s a mix of excitement and anxiety. Everyone’s throwing ideas around, and I’m trying to keep it together. But then, someone suggests a feature that’s totally off the wall. I’m like, “Are you serious? That’s not even what we discussed!”
But then, I see the look on their faces. They’re passionate. And I’m like, “Okay, let’s hear it out.” Sometimes, you gotta let the team shine, right?
By the end of the day, I’m exhausted. I step outside, and the sun is setting over the hills. It’s beautiful. I take a deep breath, and for a moment, everything feels right.
But then, I remember I still have to deal with the launch tomorrow. My heart sinks. I’m like, “Why do I do this to myself?”
As I walk home along Rue de la Liberté, I can’t help but laugh at the day’s madness. Saint-Genest-Lerpt, you’ve got my heart, even if you drive me nuts sometimes.
