OMG, what a day! Like, seriously, I can’t even. So, I’m a Maiko, right? And today was just a rollercoaster in Saint-Jacques-de-la-Lande. First off, I woke up late. Ugh! My alarm didn’t go off. Classic me. I had to rush to get my kimono on. You know, the whole deal—obi, obijime, the works. I dashed outta my place on Rue de la Mairie. The streets were buzzing. Like, everyone was out and about. I mean, it’s Saint-Jacques-de-la-Lande, not Paris, but still, people were vibin’. I almost tripped over a dog. Seriously, why do people let their dogs roam free? So, I’m walking down Rue de la Liberté, and I see this cute little café. I’m like, “I need coffee!” But the line was a mile long. I was like, “C’mon, people! I got a gig!” Finally, I get my coffee, and it’s, like, the best thing ever. I’m talking heavenly. Then, I head over to the Parc de la Mairie. It’s so pretty there, with all the flowers and stuff. I was feeling all zen until I saw this kid throwing a tantrum. Like, chill, dude! It’s just a toy! But then, I remembered my little brother. He used to do the same thing. Ah, memories. Anyway, I finally get to my gig at the Maison des Associations. I’m all dressed up, looking fly, and then—bam! The power goes out. Like, are you kidding me? I’m standing there in my full Maiko getup, and it’s pitch black. I’m like, “Great, just great.” But then, this guy comes in with a flashlight. He’s all, “Don’t worry, I got this!” And I’m like, “Dude, you’re my hero!” So, we set up some candles, and it turned into this magical vibe. I mean, who needs electricity, right? I start performing, and the crowd is loving it. I’m doing my thing, and then I spot this old lady in the front row. She’s crying! I’m like, “Oh no, did I mess up?” But no, she’s just super emotional. I mean, I get it. My dance can be intense. After the show, I’m feeling all pumped. I head back to Rue de la Mairie, and guess what? I run into my friend, Marie. She’s like, “Let’s celebrate!” So, we hit up this little bar on Rue de la Liberté. I’m talking cheap drinks and good vibes. We’re laughing, and I’m telling her about the power outage. She’s cracking up. “Only you, girl!” she says. I mean, it’s true. I have the worst luck sometimes. But hey, it makes for good stories, right? As the night goes on, I’m feeling all the feels. Happy, angry, surprised—like a whole buffet of emotions. I’m just a Maiko trying to make it in this crazy world. Saint-Jacques-de-la-Lande, you’ve got my heart. So, I finally head home, and I’m just thinking about how wild today was. I mean, who knew a day could be so packed? I can’t wait to tell everyone about it. But for now, I’m just gonna crash. Tomorrow’s another day, and who knows what’ll happen next?
