Man, what a day! I swear, Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne is wild. I woke up thinking it’d be just another boring merch day. Nope! Not even close. First off, I hit the streets around 8 AM. The sun was shining, and I was like, “Yesss, let’s do this!” I strolled down Rue de la République, feeling all pumped. But then, bam! I tripped over a cobblestone. Classic me, right? Almost face-planted. So, I’m finally up, and I head to the market. The smell of fresh bread from the boulangerie on Rue de la Liberté was insane. I mean, who can resist a good baguette? Not me! Grabbed one, and it was like heaven in my mouth. But then, I see this dude trying to haggle over a croissant. Like, c’mon man, it’s a croissant, not a car! After that, I had to meet a supplier at Place de la Mairie. I’m waiting, and waiting. I’m like, “Dude, where you at?” Turns out, he got lost. In a small town! I mean, how do you get lost here? It’s not like we’re in Paris or something. Finally, he shows up, and we start talking about stock. But then, outta nowhere, this kid runs by, knocks over my coffee, and spills it all over my notes. I was ready to lose it! I mean, c’mon! I need those notes! But the kid just laughed and ran off. Kids these days, right? Then, I decided to take a break. I walked over to the Parc de la Villette. It’s so chill there. I sat on a bench, just trying to breathe. But then, I see this couple arguing. Like, full-on shouting. I’m just trying to enjoy my moment, and they’re over there throwing shade. I mean, can’t a merchandiser catch a break? After that, I thought, “Let’s hit the shops.” I went down Rue de la Gare. Found some cool stuff, but the prices? Yikes! I felt like I was being robbed. I mean, I get it, it’s Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, but c’mon! Then, I bumped into an old friend. We hadn’t seen each other in ages. We started reminiscing about our wild days in high school. You know, the usual—cringy moments, bad haircuts, and all that jazz. It was nice to laugh, but then he mentioned that one time I tried to impress a girl by singing in the square. Ugh, the embarrassment! As the day went on, I was feeling a mix of emotions. Happy, angry, nostalgic. It was a rollercoaster. I decided to grab dinner at this little place on Rue des Écoles. The food was bomb! I had this amazing tartiflette. Like, I could eat that every day. But then, as I was leaving, I saw a stray dog. Poor thing looked so sad. I couldn’t just walk by. I ended up buying some food from a nearby shop and fed him. He wagged his tail like I was a hero or something. That made my day, for real. Finally, I headed home, exhausted but full of stories. Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, you crazy little town, you’ve got my heart. I mean, who knew a day could be so packed with feels? I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings. But for now, I’m just gonna crash. Peace out!
