Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still buzzing from it. So, I wake up in my cozy little apartment on Rue de la Gare, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be epic!” Spoiler alert: it was anything but. First off, I head to my fave café, Café de l’Art, for my usual double espresso. I’m all about that caffeine life. But guess what? They ran out of beans! Like, how do you run out of coffee beans? I mean, c’mon! I was ready to throw a fit. But then, I see this cute barista, and she’s like, “Sorry, we’ll have more in 10.” I’m like, “Fine, I’ll wait.” Totally worth it. She’s got this smile that could light up the whole of Saint-Jérôme. So, I grab a seat outside on Boulevard des Laurentides, soaking in the vibe. People are walking by, some with their dogs, others just enjoying the day. I’m feeling good, right? Then, outta nowhere, this kid on a skateboard zooms past and nearly takes me out! I’m like, “Dude, watch it!” He just laughs and keeps going. Kids these days, man. No fear. After my caffeine fix, I head to the office. I’m working on this big project for a local festival, Festival de la Saint-Jérôme. It’s gonna be lit! But then, I get a call from my boss. He’s like, “We need to change the whole theme.” I’m like, “Are you kidding me?” I mean, we’ve been planning this for weeks! I could feel my blood boiling. But whatever, I’m a pro. I’ll figure it out. So, I take a walk down Rue de la Rivière to clear my head. The river’s looking beautiful, and I spot some ducks just chilling. I’m like, “If only I could be a duck.” No stress, just floating around. But then, I see this guy trying to feed them bread, and they’re just ignoring him. I’m cracking up. Ducks have standards, I guess. Then, I bump into an old friend from high school. We haven’t seen each other in ages! We start reminiscing about our wild teenage years, like that time we snuck into the old cinema on Rue de la Montagne. Good times, man. But then, he drops the bomb: he’s moving to Montreal. I’m like, “No way! You can’t leave me here!” But he’s gotta chase his dreams, I get it. Still, it stings. After that, I’m feeling a bit down, so I decide to hit up the local market on Rue de la Gare. Fresh produce, local crafts, you know the vibe. I grab some strawberries, and they’re the juiciest things ever! I’m munching on them, feeling better. Then, I see this street performer doing magic tricks. He’s pulling coins from behind people’s ears, and I’m like, “Dude, show me your ways!” I toss him a couple of bucks. Gotta support local talent, right? As the sun starts to set, I head back home. I’m walking along Rue des Écoles, and the sky is painted in these crazy colors. It’s like a scene from a movie. I stop to take a pic, and this random guy walks by and says, “You should be a photographer!” I laugh and say, “Nah, I’m just a Creative Director.” He gives me a thumbs up and keeps walking. Random, but it made my day. Finally, I get home, and I’m exhausted but happy. I plop down on my couch, thinking about all the craziness. Saint-Jérôme, you never fail to surprise me. From coffee disasters to old friends leaving, it’s a rollercoaster. But hey, that’s life, right? I wouldn’t trade it for anything. So, here I am, typing this out, still buzzing from the day. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings. Bring it on, Saint-Jérôme!
