Wow, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I woke up in Saint-Marcellin, right? The sun was shining, birds were chirping, and I thought, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I had to rush to the Place de la République. I mean, who doesn’t love a good square, right? But I was late. Like, really late. I sprinted down Rue de la Liberté, dodging tourists and their selfie sticks. Ugh, I swear, if I trip over one more of those things, I’m gonna lose it. So, I finally get to the square, and it’s packed. I’m talking people everywhere. There was this big event happening, some local festival or whatever. I’m like, “Great, just what I need.” But then, I see my client. She’s a sweet lady, but she’s super nervous. I mean, who wouldn’t be? It’s a big crowd, and she’s gotta give a speech. I’m trying to calm her down, but then this guy on a bike zooms past us, almost knocks me over! Like, dude, chill! It’s not a race! I’m here trying to help, and you’re just being reckless. I was so mad, I could’ve signed a whole rant about it. Anyway, we finally get to the stage. The energy is wild! People are cheering, and I’m like, “Okay, let’s do this.” I start interpreting, and it’s going well. I’m in the zone, you know? But then, outta nowhere, the power goes out! Like, seriously? In the middle of a speech? Everyone’s looking around, confused. I’m standing there, trying to keep it together. I mean, I can’t just stop! So, I start signing louder, trying to get her message across. It’s chaotic, but somehow, it works. People start clapping, and I’m like, “Wow, this is kinda cool.” After the speech, we head over to Rue de la République for some food. I’m starving! We grab some local cheese—Saint-Marcellin cheese, of course. It’s creamy and delicious. I’m in heaven. But then, I spill some on my shirt. Classic me, right? I’m laughing it off, but inside, I’m like, “Great, now I look like a mess.” Then, we decide to stroll by the river. The Isère is beautiful, especially at sunset. I’m feeling all the feels. But then, I see this couple arguing. Like, full-on shouting. I’m thinking, “C’mon, guys, it’s a lovely day!” But they’re just going at it. I can’t help but eavesdrop. Turns out, it’s about who left the cap off the toothpaste. Seriously? As we walk back, I’m reflecting on the day. It was a rollercoaster. I felt angry, happy, surprised—all the emotions. Saint-Marcellin is such a vibe. The streets, the people, the cheese! I love it here, even when it’s chaotic. So, yeah, that was my day. Just another day in Saint-Marcellin, full of unexpected twists and turns. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
