Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still buzzing from it. So, I woke up in my tiny apartment on Rue de la République, right? The sun was shining, birds were chirping, and I thought, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I decided to hit up the local café, Café de la Paix. I mean, who doesn’t love a good croissant, right? I’m standing in line, and this dude in front of me orders, like, ten pastries. I’m like, “Bro, are you feeding an army?” He just shrugs. Whatever, I’m not judging. I finally get my coffee, and it’s perfect. Like, the barista knows me. I’m basically a regular. So, I’m walking down Rue de la Liberté, feeling all artsy and inspired. I’m thinking about my next animation project. Maybe something about the crazy life in Saint-Max? I mean, this city is a goldmine for stories. But then, BAM! I trip over a loose cobblestone. Classic me, right? I’m sprawled out on the ground, coffee flying everywhere. I’m like, “Great, just great.” But then, this sweet old lady comes over. She’s got this huge smile, and she’s like, “Ah, mon petit! You okay?” I can’t help but laugh. I mean, who calls me “mon petit”? I’m 30! But it’s cute. She helps me up, and I’m like, “Thanks, Madame!” After that, I decide to stroll by the Parc de la Mairie. It’s one of my fave spots. The trees are all green, and there’s this fountain that’s just so picturesque. I sit on a bench, sketching some ideas. I’m lost in my world, right? Suddenly, this kid runs by, chasing a soccer ball. He kicks it, and it goes straight into the fountain. I’m dying laughing. The kid’s face is priceless! Then, outta nowhere, I hear this loud commotion. I look up, and there’s a street performer doing some insane juggling act. I mean, this guy’s got flaming torches! I’m like, “Dude, you’re gonna set the whole place on fire!” But he’s nailing it. The crowd’s going wild. I’m clapping, feeling all the good vibes. But then, my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy, Max (not to be confused with Saint-Max, lol). He’s like, “Dude, you gotta come to the art gallery on Rue de la République. There’s a surprise!” I’m like, “What surprise?” But he won’t spill. So, I’m racing back, dodging people like I’m in a video game. I get to the gallery, and it’s packed. I push through the crowd, and there’s this huge mural of Saint-Max! It’s got all the iconic spots—like the church, the park, and even the café! I’m freaking out. It’s so dope! And then, I see my name on the wall. I’m like, “Wait, what?!” Turns out, they featured my animations in the exhibit. I’m blushing, man. But then, I spot this guy in the corner. He’s looking at my work, and he’s not impressed. I can see it on his face. I’m like, “Dude, chill. It’s art, not a math test.” But he just shakes his head and walks away. Ugh, some people just don’t get it. After that, I needed a breather. I hit up a little bistro on Rue de la Liberté. I order a burger, and it’s massive. Like, I’m talking a tower of meat and cheese. I take a bite, and it’s heavenly. I’m in my happy place. As the sun sets, I walk back home, feeling all the feels. Saint-Max is my jam. It’s quirky, it’s beautiful, and it’s full of surprises. I can’t wait to animate this day. It’s gonna be epic. So yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but mostly ups. I love this city, man. It’s wild, just like me.
