Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still reeling from it. So, I woke up in Saint-Pierre-les-Elbeuf, right? You know, that little gem in Normandy. I mean, it’s not Paris, but it’s got its charm. The Seine’s just chillin’ nearby, and the streets are lined with those cute old houses. Anyway, I grab my coffee from that tiny café on Rue de la République. Best croissants, no joke. So, I’m sippin’ my coffee, feeling all good, when BOOM! I hear this loud crash. I look up, and some dude just smashed his bike into a lamppost on Rue de la Libération. Like, bro, how do you not see that? I almost spit my coffee everywhere. I mean, come on! Then, I decide to head over to the market at Place de la République. It’s buzzing, right? Fresh veggies, flowers, and all that good stuff. I’m wandering around, and I spot this old lady selling the biggest tomatoes I’ve ever seen. I’m talkin’ like, “Are these tomatoes or basketballs?” I had to buy one. It was like 2 euros, and I’m thinking, “What a steal!” But then, outta nowhere, this kid runs past me, and he knocks my tomato right outta my hand. SPLAT! It’s all over the ground. I’m like, “Nooooo!” I mean, I just bought that! The kid just laughs and keeps running. I’m fuming, but whatever. I grab another one. Next, I stroll down Rue de la Paix. It’s a nice street, but today it’s packed with people. I’m dodging folks left and right. And then, I see this street performer. He’s playing the accordion, and honestly, he’s not half bad. I stop to listen, and suddenly, this group of tourists starts dancing. Like, full-on dancing! I’m cracking up. It’s like a scene from a movie. But then, outta nowhere, the sky decides to open up. I mean, it was sunny two seconds ago! I’m soaked, and I’m thinking, “Great, just great.” I duck into a shop on Rue de la Gare. It’s a little boutique, and the owner is super nice. She offers me a towel. I’m like, “Wow, people are actually nice here!” After the rain, I head to the Parc des Coteaux. It’s my favorite spot. The view of the Seine is just stunning. I sit on a bench, trying to chill. But then, I see this couple arguing. Like, full-on shouting. I’m thinking, “Dude, not in public!” But it’s kinda entertaining, too. I mean, who doesn’t love a little drama? As the sun starts to set, I’m feeling all reflective. Saint-Pierre-les-Elbeuf is a mix of chaos and beauty. I love it. I mean, yeah, it’s not perfect. The streets can be a mess, and the people are a bit quirky. But that’s what makes it home, right? I finally head back, and I’m exhausted. But I can’t help but smile. Today was wild. I mean, who knew a day in Saint-Pierre could be so... intense? I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
