Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still reeling from it. So, I woke up in Sens, right? This little gem of a city in France. It’s got that medieval vibe, ya know? Cobblestone streets, old buildings, the whole shebang. I mean, I love it here, but today? Ugh. First off, I hit up Rue de la République for my morning coffee. Gotta fuel up, right? But guess what? The café was packed. Like, standing-room-only packed. I’m like, “C’mon, people! It’s just coffee!” Finally snagged a seat, but my croissant? It was stale. STALE! I mean, who serves stale croissants in France? That’s like sacrilege or something. Anyway, I’m sitting there, trying to enjoy my not-so-fresh pastry, when I overhear this couple arguing. They’re going at it, loud enough for the whole café to hear. I’m talking about “You never listen!” and “I can’t believe you did that!” Classic, right? I’m just sipping my coffee, thinking, “Dude, you’re in Sens! Chill out!” After that drama, I decided to stroll down to the Cathedral of Saint-Étienne. It’s stunning, like jaw-droppingly beautiful. The stained glass? Wow. But then, I see this group of tourists taking selfies. Like, come on! You’re in front of a 12th-century cathedral, and you’re more interested in your Instagram feed? I mean, priorities, people! So, I’m wandering around, trying to soak it all in, when I bump into this street performer. He’s playing the accordion, and honestly, it’s kinda magical. I’m swaying a bit, feeling the vibe, when suddenly, a pigeon decides my shoulder is the perfect landing spot. Ugh! I freak out, flailing my arms like a maniac. The guy with the accordion is cracking up. I’m like, “Thanks, dude, real funny!” Next, I head over to the Place de la République. It’s this cute little square, and there’s a market going on. Fresh produce, cheese, bread—heaven! I grab some cheese, and let me tell you, it was divine. But then, I see this guy trying to haggle over a bunch of carrots. Carrots! I mean, who haggles over carrots? Just buy them, man! By now, I’m feeling pretty good, right? But then, I decide to check out the Musée de Sens. I’m all about that history, you know? But it’s closed! Closed for renovations. I’m like, “Are you kidding me?” I mean, what’s the point of a museum if it’s closed? So, I’m walking back, feeling a bit defeated, when I spot this little bistro on Rue de la République. I’m starving, so I pop in. The waiter? Super chill. I order a burger (I know, I know, not very French, but whatever). It’s actually amazing. Juicy, with this killer sauce. I’m in heaven. But then, as I’m eating, I hear this loud crash outside. I rush to the window, and there’s this guy who just knocked over a whole stand of pastries. I’m talking éclairs, tarts, the works! My heart breaks a little. I mean, those poor pastries! Finally, I wrap up my day with a walk along the Yonne River. The sunset? Gorgeous. I’m standing there, feeling all the feels, when I realize how much I love this city. Sure, it’s chaotic and a bit wild, but that’s what makes it real. So yeah, that was my day in Sens. Full of ups and downs, but hey, that’s life, right? Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
