Man, what a day in Sevran! I swear, I thought I was just gonna chill, maybe grab a kebab on Rue de la République, but nah, life had other plans. So, I roll outta bed, right? It’s like 7 AM, and I’m already feelin’ the weight of the world. I’m a shooter, security and all that jazz, but today felt different. I hit the streets, and the vibe is off. Like, you can just feel it in the air, ya know? First stop, the market on Rue de la Mairie. I’m just tryna grab some coffee, but the line is longer than my last relationship. I’m standing there, and this dude in front of me is arguing with the vendor about the price of oranges. Like, bro, it’s just fruit! Chill! But nah, he’s all up in arms, and I’m just like, “Dude, it’s not worth it.” Finally, I get my coffee, and I’m out. I’m walking down Avenue Charles de Gaulle, and I see this group of kids playing football. They’re all hyped, shouting and laughing. It’s a nice scene, but then I see one of ‘em trip and fall. Oof! I feel that pain, man. But he gets up, brushes it off, and keeps playing. That’s Sevran for ya—resilient, tough. Then, bam! Outta nowhere, I hear sirens. My heart drops. I’m like, “What now?” I rush over to the corner of Rue de la République and Rue de la Mairie. There’s a crowd, and I can’t see what’s going on. My instincts kick in. I push through, and there’s a guy getting arrested. He’s yelling, “You don’t know me!” Classic. I’m standing there, and I can’t help but feel a mix of anger and sadness. Like, what led him to this? Sevran’s got its issues, man. But it’s also got heart. I mean, I love this place, but sometimes it feels like a pressure cooker. After that chaos, I decide to hit up the park, Parc de la Noue. I need a breather. I sit on a bench, and this old lady comes up to me. She’s got this huge bag of bread. She starts feeding the pigeons, and I’m just watching. It’s peaceful, ya know? But then, one pigeon gets too close, and she freaks out! “Get away, you beast!” I’m cracking up. But then, outta nowhere, I get a call. It’s my boss. “We got a situation at the mall.” Great. Just what I needed. I hop on my bike and zoom over to the Centre Commercial. When I get there, it’s wild. People are running, and I’m like, “What the heck is happening?” Turns out, some kids were messing around with fireworks. Like, seriously? In the middle of the mall? I’m trying to keep my cool, but inside, I’m losing it. I finally get things under control, but man, I’m sweating bullets. I’m thinking, “This is why I can’t have nice things.” I’m just trying to do my job, keep the peace, but Sevran keeps throwing curveballs. By the time I’m done, it’s dark. I’m exhausted. I ride back home, and I can’t help but think about the day. It was a rollercoaster—anger, laughter, surprise. Sevran’s a wild place, but it’s home. I crash on my couch, and I’m like, “What a day.” I wouldn’t trade it for anything, though. It’s messy, it’s chaotic, but it’s real. And that’s what makes it all worth it.
