Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being an arborist in Seysses is like a rollercoaster ride. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I grab my coffee from that little café on Rue de la République. You know the one? The barista there, Pierre, he’s a legend. He knows my order by heart. I’m like, “Yo, Pierre, hit me with that double shot!” He laughs, and I’m already feelin’ good. But then, I spill half of it on my shirt. Classic me, right? So, I head out to this job on Avenue de la Gare. Gotta trim some trees, make ‘em look all nice and neat. But when I get there, I see this massive oak. I mean, HUGE. Like, “Why is this tree trying to take over the world?” I’m standing there, jaw dropped, thinking, “How the heck am I gonna tackle this beast?” Then, outta nowhere, this old lady pops up. She’s like, “You better not mess with my tree!” I’m like, “Lady, I’m just trying to help!” But she’s not havin’ it. She starts ranting about how that tree’s been there since the dawn of time or something. I’m like, “Yeah, but it’s also blocking the sun from your garden.” Anyway, I finally convince her. I get my chainsaw revved up, and just as I’m about to make the first cut, my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy, Max. He’s like, “Dude, you won’t believe what happened at the park!” I’m like, “I’m kinda busy here, man!” But he insists. Apparently, a bunch of kids tried to climb a tree and got stuck. I’m like, “What is this, a scene from a cartoon?” So, I finish up with the oak, and it’s lookin’ sharp. I’m feelin’ like a tree god or something. But then, I head over to the park on Rue des Écoles. And guess what? There’s a crowd gathered. I’m thinkin’, “Oh great, what now?” Turns out, those kids are still stuck. I’m like, “Seriously? How did you even get up there?” They’re all giggling, and I’m just shaking my head. I climb up, and it’s like a scene from a movie. I’m rescuing these kids, and they’re all like, “You’re my hero!” I’m like, “Nah, just doing my job.” But inside, I’m feelin’ like a rockstar. After that, I’m exhausted. I head to the local bistro on Place de la Mairie. I order a burger and fries, and man, it hits the spot. I’m sittin’ there, just chillin’, when I overhear some folks talking about the upcoming festival. They’re all hyped about the fireworks and stuff. I’m like, “Count me in!” But then, I remember I gotta work the next day. Ugh, adulting sucks. I finish my meal, and as I’m leaving, I bump into that old lady again. She’s all smiles now, thanking me for saving her tree. I’m like, “No problem, just doing my thing.” So, I head home, and I’m just thinkin’ about how wild today was. From coffee spills to tree rescues, Seysses never fails to surprise me. I love this place, even with its quirks. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
