Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I woke up in Soultz-Haut-Rhin, right? This little gem in Alsace, France. I mean, who knew this place could be so wild? First off, I hit up the boulangerie on Rue de la République. You know, the one with the best croissants? I’m talking buttery, flaky goodness. I grab one, and boom! I spill coffee all over my shirt. Great start, right? I’m like, “Awesome, now I look like a walking café.” Then, I’m walking down Rue de l’Église, and I see this old church. It’s called Église Saint-Michel. Super pretty, but I’m not in the mood for sightseeing. I’m just trying to get my life together. But then, I hear this choir practicing. OMG, their voices! Like angels or something. I stop, totally mesmerized. I’m standing there, coffee-stained shirt and all, just vibing. But then, outta nowhere, this kid on a bike zooms past me. He’s like, “Watch out, old man!” I’m not even old! I’m in my thirties! I yell back, “I’ll show you old!” But he’s already gone. Ugh, kids these days. So, I keep walking, trying to shake off the morning drama. I hit up the Parc de l'Hotel de Ville. It’s so chill there. I sit on a bench, just breathing. But then, I see this couple arguing. Like, full-on shouting. I’m thinking, “Dude, not in public!” But it’s kinda entertaining, too. I mean, who doesn’t love a little drama? After that, I decide to grab lunch at this little spot on Rue du Général de Gaulle. The food? Amazing! I order a tarte flambée. It’s like pizza but better. I’m stuffing my face, and this waiter comes over. He’s all smiles, and I’m like, “Dude, you’re too happy for this hour.” He laughs, and I’m like, “Okay, maybe I’m just jealous.” Then, I get a text from my buddy. He’s like, “Let’s meet at the bar on Rue de la Liberté.” I’m down! So, I head over, and it’s packed. I squeeze through the crowd, and guess what? I trip! Like, full-on faceplant. Everyone’s staring. I’m dying inside. But then, I just laugh it off. Gotta own it, right? Finally, I find my buddy. We’re catching up, and he’s telling me about his new job. I’m happy for him, but also a bit envious. You know that feeling? Like, “Why can’t I have that?” But whatever, I’m just here for the vibes. As the night rolls in, we decide to stroll around. The lights in Soultz-Haut-Rhin are magical. I mean, it’s like a fairy tale. We hit up the local pub, and I’m feeling good. We’re laughing, joking, and then—bam!—the power goes out. Total darkness. I’m like, “Great, now we’re in a horror movie.” But then, people start singing! Like, random songs, and it turns into this whole thing. I’m standing there, in the dark, with strangers, singing our hearts out. It’s wild! I’m thinking, “This is what life’s about.” Finally, I stumble home, still buzzing from the day. I’m exhausted but happy. Soultz-Haut-Rhin, you crazy little town, you’ve got my heart. What a rollercoaster! Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
