Man, what a day! Seriously, Souppes-sur-Loing is wild. I woke up thinking it’d be chill. Just another day in this little town, right? Wrong! First off, I hit the Rue de la République. It’s like the main drag, ya know? Grabbed a croissant from that bakery on the corner. Best croissant ever! Flaky, buttery, like a hug for my mouth. But then, bam! My phone buzzes. Work stuff. Ugh. So, I’m walking down Rue de la Mairie, minding my own biz, when I see this dude. He’s just standing there, looking all sketchy. I’m like, “What’s up with this guy?” Turns out, he’s lost. I mean, c’mon! It’s a small town! I help him out, but he’s got this thick accent. I can barely understand him. Then, I’m off to the Parc de la Mairie. Beautiful spot, right? Trees everywhere, kids playing. I sit on a bench, just trying to chill. But nooo, some kids start yelling. Like, why do kids have to be so loud? I’m trying to enjoy my moment! Suddenly, I hear a commotion. I look up, and there’s a dog chasing a cat. Classic, right? But this cat? It’s like a ninja! Leaps up a tree like it’s nothing. I’m laughing, but then I see the owner of the dog. She’s freaking out! I mean, chill, lady! It’s just a cat! After that, I decide to hit up the local market on Rue des Écoles. Fresh veggies, fruits, all that good stuff. I’m in line, and this old lady in front of me is taking forever. Like, c’mon! I’ve got places to be! Finally, she turns around and says, “Patience is a virtue, young man.” I’m like, “Yeah, but I’m not a monk!” I finally get my stuff and head to the riverbank. The Loing is so pretty. I sit there, just watching the water flow. It’s peaceful. But then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain! I’m like, “Seriously?!” I scramble to find cover. I duck into this café on Rue de la Liberté. It’s cozy, smells like coffee and pastries. I order a hot chocolate. Best decision ever! I sit by the window, watching the rain. It’s kinda romantic, but I’m alone. So, I just scroll through my phone, trying to act cool. Then, I see a couple outside, laughing and holding hands. I’m like, “Aww, that’s cute.” But then, the guy trips! Falls right in a puddle! I can’t help but laugh. Like, dude, you had one job! After the rain stops, I head back out. The streets are all shiny and fresh. I walk down Rue de la Gare, and it hits me. This town is full of surprises. I love it, but it drives me nuts sometimes. I finally make my way back home, exhausted. I flop on my couch, thinking about the day. It was a rollercoaster. Happy, angry, surprised—everything! Souppes-sur-Loing, you’ve got my heart, even if you make me wanna pull my hair out sometimes. What a day, man. What a day.
