Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still reeling from it. So, I woke up in my little workshop on Rue de la République, right? The sun was shining, birds were chirping, and I thought, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was anything but chill. First off, I had this big order for some custom mugs. You know, the ones with the funky designs? I was all pumped to get started. But then, I realized I was outta clay. Like, how does that even happen? I mean, I’m a potter, for crying out loud! So, I had to haul my butt over to the local supply shop on Rue de la Liberté. Now, let me tell ya, that shop is a treasure trove. But today? Ugh. The owner, old Mr. Dupont, was in a mood. He was rambling on about how the weather’s been too dry for good clay. I’m like, “Dude, I just need some clay, not a weather report!” But he wouldn’t stop. I swear, I almost lost it. Finally, I grabbed a couple of bags and bolted outta there. I was so ready to get back to my wheel. But then, bam! I stepped in a puddle on Rue des Écoles. Like, who even puts a puddle there? My shoes were soaked, and I was fuming. I mean, come on, Thaon! Get it together! So, I get back to my workshop, and I’m all set to throw some pots. I’m feeling the vibe, you know? But then, my neighbor, Marie, decides it’s the perfect time to blast her music. I mean, I love a good tune, but not when I’m trying to concentrate! It was some weird techno stuff that made my head spin. I was like, “Marie, please! I’m trying to create art here!” But then, something magical happened. I started working on this mug, and it just flowed. I was in the zone, man! The clay was smooth, my hands were moving, and I was feeling like a pottery god. I even added this cool swirl design that I thought was genius. I was grinning like an idiot. Then, outta nowhere, my buddy Lucas shows up. He’s always got some wild story. Today, he tells me he saw a deer chilling in the park on Rue de la Gare. A deer! In the middle of the city! I couldn’t believe it. I mean, I love nature, but come on, Thaon, you’re not a forest! So, we’re chatting, and I’m showing him my new mug. He’s like, “Dude, that’s sick!” And I’m all proud, you know? But then, he accidentally knocks over my water bucket. Water everywhere! I was ready to scream. I mean, I just cleaned that floor! After a mini freak-out, we both started laughing. It was one of those moments, you know? Just two friends being idiots. We ended up sitting on the floor, splashing water around like kids. It was ridiculous, but it felt good. As the day went on, I finally finished the mugs. They turned out better than I expected. I was buzzing with excitement. I decided to take a stroll down to the Parc de la Mairie to clear my head. The park was beautiful, with all the trees and flowers. I sat on a bench, sipping a coffee from the little café nearby. And then, I saw it. A couple of kids were playing with a dog, and the dog was just the cutest thing ever. I couldn’t help but smile. It reminded me of why I love this place. Thaon-les-Vosges might have its quirks, but it’s home. So, yeah, my day was a rollercoaster. From angry to happy to just plain ridiculous. But that’s life, right? Just gotta roll with the punches and keep making those mugs. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
