Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a raftsman in Thouare-sur-Loire is never boring. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s barely up, and I’m already thinkin’ about the Loire. Gotta love that river. It’s like my second home, ya know? First thing, I hit up Rue de la Loire. Grabbed a coffee from that little café, Le Petit Coin. Best croissants in town, no joke! I’m munchin’ away, and this old dude starts talkin’ about the weather. Like, c’mon man, it’s France! It’s either gonna rain or be sunny. What’s the big deal? Anyway, I get to the river, and it’s a bit choppy. I’m thinkin’, “Great, just what I need.” But then, I see this family. They’re all excited, ready to hop on my raft. Kids are screamin’, “We wanna go fast!” I’m like, “Sure, but don’t blame me if you lose your lunch!” So, we set off. The Loire is beautiful, man. Trees on the banks, birds chirpin’. But then, outta nowhere, this huge boat comes zoomin’ by. I swear, it nearly capsized us! I’m yellin’, “Watch it, Captain Ahab!” The family’s laughin’, but I’m just tryin’ to keep it together. Then, we hit a calm spot. Kids are throwin’ bread to the ducks. I’m sittin’ there, thinkin’ how peaceful it is. But then, I spot a guy on the bank. He’s tryin’ to fish, but he’s got his line all tangled. I’m like, “Dude, you need a lesson!” But hey, I’ve been there. Fishing’s tough. After that, we drift past the Parc de la Loire. Man, I love that park. It’s got these big trees, perfect for a picnic. I’m thinkin’ I should bring my lunch here one day. But then, I remember I can’t eat in front of my customers. Gotta keep it pro, right? So, we’re cruisin’, and suddenly, the kids start fightin’. “That’s my spot!” “No, it’s mine!” I’m like, “Guys, chill! We’re on a raft, not a wrestling ring!” But they’re just too hyped. Kids, man. Then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain. Just my luck! I’m tryin’ to keep the raft steady while the family’s scrambling for cover. I’m soaked, they’re soaked, and I’m thinkin’, “This is gonna be a fun review on TripAdvisor.” But then, the rain stops. And guess what? A rainbow pops up! I’m like, “See? It’s all good!” The kids are amazed, and I’m feelin’ like a hero. “Look, kids! Nature’s magic!” After the ride, I drop them off at Quai de la Loire. They’re all smiles, and I’m thinkin’, “Maybe this job ain’t so bad.” But then, I see that fisherman again. He’s still tangled up! I can’t help but laugh. Finally, I head back to my spot. I’m exhausted but happy. I love this place. Thouare-sur-Loire is my jam. The streets, the river, the people. It’s chaotic, but it’s home. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but that’s life, right? Just another day in the life of a raftsman. Can’t wait for tomorrow!
