Man, what a day! I swear, Thyez has a way of throwin’ curveballs. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I’m cruisin’ down Rue de la République, and I’m already late for a meeting. Classic me. I’m dodging people like I’m in some kinda video game. Seriously, why do folks walk so slow? I’m like, “C’mon, people! I got numbers to crunch!” Then, I hit up my fave café, Le Café de la Gare. I need my caffeine fix, ya know? I order a double espresso, and the barista—bless her heart—takes forever. I’m tapping my foot, checking my watch, and I’m like, “Is this a coffee shop or a museum?” Finally, I get my drink, and it’s like liquid gold. I down it in two gulps. Next, I head to the office on Rue des Écoles. I’m an accountant, so ya know, numbers are my jam. But today? Ugh. I open my laptop, and boom! The system crashes. I’m like, “Are you kidding me?!” I could feel my blood pressure rising. I mean, c’mon, Thyez! Can’t a guy do his job in peace? So, I call IT. They’re like, “We’ll be there in 30.” 30 minutes? I could’ve walked to Chamonix in that time! I’m pacing, sweating, and thinking about how I should’ve just stayed in bed. Finally, IT shows up. This dude, Pierre, is a total lifesaver. He fixes my laptop in like, 5 minutes. I’m ready to hug him. But then, he drops a coffee on my paperwork. I’m like, “Dude, really?!” My spreadsheets are now abstract art. Great. Just great. After that chaos, I decide to take a breather. I stroll down to Parc de la Mairie. It’s beautiful there, ya know? Kids are playing, dogs are barking, and I’m just trying to chill. But then, I see this guy trying to impress a girl. He’s juggling. And guess what? He drops all the balls. I can’t help but laugh. Like, bro, maybe stick to one thing at a time? Then, I get a call from my boss. He’s like, “We need to talk about the budget.” My heart sinks. Budget talks are the worst. I’m like, “Can’t we just throw some numbers in a hat and pick?” But no, we gotta go through every single line item. I head back to the office, and it’s like a scene from a horror movie. Papers everywhere, people stressed out. I sit down, and we dive into the budget. I’m trying to keep it together, but my mind’s wandering. I’m thinking about that café, the espresso, and how I need another one. Finally, we wrap up. I’m exhausted but relieved. I step outside, and it’s like the sun’s shining just for me. I walk down Rue de la Gare, and I see a street performer playing the accordion. It’s kinda magical, ya know? I toss him a couple of euros and just soak it all in. By the time I get home, I’m beat. But I can’t help but smile. Thyez, you crazy little town, you sure know how to keep a guy on his toes. I flop on the couch, thinking about tomorrow. Maybe it’ll be a little less intense? Who am I kidding? It’s Thyez! Bring it on!
