OMG, what a day! So, I’m a Personal Shopping Assistant, right? And today, I was in Tournus, France. Like, wow, what a rollercoaster! First off, Tournus is this cute lil’ town. It’s got that old-school vibe, ya know? Cobblestone streets, ancient buildings, and the Saône River just chillin’ nearby. I mean, who wouldn’t wanna shop here? But lemme tell ya, today was anything but chill. I started my day on Rue de la République. I was all pumped to hit up this boutique I heard about. Super trendy stuff, right? But guess what? It was closed! Like, seriously? Who closes a shop on a Saturday? Ugh! I was ready to throw a fit. So, I wandered over to Rue des Écoles. There’s this bakery, La Boulangerie de Tournus. OMG, their croissants are to die for! I grabbed one, and it was like a hug in pastry form. But then, I spilled coffee all over my shirt. Classic me, right? I looked like a walking disaster. After that, I was like, “Okay, let’s turn this day around!” I headed to the market at Place de l'Hôtel de Ville. It was buzzing! Fresh fruits, veggies, and all these cute lil’ stalls. I was in heaven! I found this amazing scarf, but the vendor was like, “Non, non, it’s not for sale.” I was like, “Why even display it then?” So annoying! Then, I bumped into this old lady. She was super sweet, but she started telling me her life story. I mean, I love a good story, but I had places to be! She was talking about her cat, Monsieur Whiskers, and how he once chased a pigeon. I was trying to nod and smile, but inside, I was like, “C’mon, lady, I gotta shop!” Finally, I made it to Rue du Commerce. This place is lit! I found this fab dress that was just my style. But, of course, it was the last one, and it was a size too small. I was like, “Are you kidding me?” I almost cried. But then, plot twist! The shopkeeper was super nice. She was like, “I can order it for you!” I was like, “Yasss!” Finally, some good news! I felt like I was on top of the world. After all that chaos, I needed a break. So, I hit up a café on Rue de la République again. I ordered a café crème and just sat there, soaking it all in. Tournus is beautiful, especially when the sun sets over the river. I was feeling all the feels. But then, outta nowhere, it started pouring! Like, seriously? I dashed for cover, but I was already soaked. I was laughing at myself, like, “What’s next? A tornado?” As the rain let up, I decided to call it a day. I walked back to my car, feeling exhausted but happy. Tournus, you crazy lil’ town, you’ve got my heart. I can’t wait to come back and do it all over again. Just maybe with a raincoat next time!
