Man, what a day! I swear, being a shepherd in Vert-Saint-Denis is like a rollercoaster. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s barely up, and I’m already out on Rue de la République, just me and my sheep. Yeah, I know, sounds chill, but lemme tell ya, it ain’t all grass and sunshine. First off, I’m herding my flock down to the Parc de la Mairie. Beautiful spot, but today? Ugh. I’m minding my own business, and suddenly, a bunch of kids on bikes zoom past. Like, chill out, kids! My sheep freak out, and I’m running after them like a madman. I’m yelling, “Hey! Get back here!” but they just laugh. Rude, right? Finally, I get them back, but I’m sweating like a pig. I take a breather by the fountain on Rue des Écoles. It’s nice there, but I’m still fuming. I mean, come on! Can’t a shepherd catch a break? Then, I decide to grab a coffee at this little café on Rue de la Liberté. Best coffee in town, no joke. I’m sitting there, trying to chill, when this old dude starts talking to me. He’s like, “You know, back in my day…” and I’m thinking, “Oh boy, here we go.” But he’s actually got some cool stories about the old days in Vert-Saint-Denis. Turns out, he used to play in the same fields I do now. Kinda sweet, right? But then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring! I mean, like, buckets of rain. I dash outta the café, and my sheep? Yeah, they’re not having it. They’re all huddled under a tree, looking at me like, “Really, dude?” I’m soaked, they’re soaked, and I’m just standing there, laughing at the absurdity of it all. After the rain, the sun comes out, and everything looks all shiny and new. I’m feeling good again, so I head over to the market on Rue de la Gare. Man, the vibe there is electric! Fresh veggies, flowers, and the smell of baked goods. I grab a baguette, and this lady at the stall gives me a wink. I’m like, “What’s that about?” Maybe she likes shepherds? Who knows! But then, I see this guy trying to sell some weird sheep-themed merchandise. Like, who buys that? I’m standing there, shaking my head, and he’s like, “You want a sheep keychain?” I’m like, “Nah, I’ve got the real deal at home.” He didn’t find it funny. By the time I’m heading back home, I’m exhausted but happy. I stroll down Rue de la Fontaine, and the sunset is just gorgeous. I stop to take a pic, and this random dog runs up to me, wagging its tail. I’m like, “Hey buddy, you lost?” But he just looks at me like, “Nah, I’m just here for the vibes.” Finally, I get home, and my sheep are all chillin’ in the pen. I plop down on the grass, and I’m just thinking about the day. It was wild, emotional, and totally unexpected. I mean, who knew a shepherd’s life in Vert-Saint-Denis could be so... eventful? So yeah, that’s my day. Full of ups and downs, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Just me, my sheep, and this crazy little town. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
