Man, what a day! Seriously, Villefranche-de-Rouergue, you wild beast! I woke up thinking it’d be chill, just me and my art. But nah, the universe had other plans. So, I’m strolling down Rue de la République, right? Just vibin’ with my sketchbook, ready to capture the beauty of this medieval town. The buildings are all old-school, like they’ve seen some stuff. I’m feeling inspired, ya know? Then BAM! A pigeon poops on my shoulder. Like, really? Thanks, nature. I’m trying to shake it off, literally, when I bump into this old dude. He’s got this wild beard, looks like he’s been living in a cave or something. He starts rambling about the history of the town. I’m like, “Dude, I’m just trying to draw here!” But he’s passionate, so I’m half-listening. Apparently, Villefranche was founded in the 13th century. Crazy, right? Anyway, I finally find a spot by the Place de la Fontaine. It’s beautiful there, with the fountain gushing and kids playing. I’m sketching away, feeling all artsy, when this group of tourists rolls up. They’re loud, taking selfies, and blocking my view. Ugh! I’m like, “Can you not?” But they’re too busy posing. I mean, c’mon, it’s just a fountain! After a while, I decide to grab a coffee at this cute little café on Rue de la Pêche. The barista is super chill, and I order a café crème. While I’m waiting, I overhear this couple arguing. They’re going at it, and I’m just sipping my coffee, trying not to laugh. The guy’s like, “You never listen!” and she’s like, “Well, you never talk!” Classic. Then, outta nowhere, the power goes out. The whole street goes dark. I’m thinking, “Great, just great.” But then, the barista lights some candles, and it’s kinda romantic. I mean, who knew a blackout could be so cozy? I start doodling the flickering flames, and it’s actually turning out pretty cool. But then, the lights flicker back on, and I’m like, “Nooo! My vibe!” I finish my coffee, pay, and head out. I’m walking down Rue de la Basse, feeling a bit bummed. But then I see this street performer. He’s playing the accordion, and it’s magical. I stop, and for a moment, all my worries fade. I throw some coins in his hat, and he gives me a nod. I’m feeling good again. Villefranche, you’re full of surprises! I start dancing a little, just me and the music. People are staring, but I don’t care. Then, I decide to check out the old church, Église Notre-Dame. It’s stunning inside, with all those stained glass windows. I sit there for a bit, just soaking it all in. It’s peaceful, and I feel grateful. But then, I hear this loud crash outside. I rush out, and some guy just knocked over a whole cart of pastries! I’m like, “Dude, what are you doing?” He’s apologizing like crazy, and I can’t help but laugh. The baker is furious, and I’m just standing there, watching the chaos unfold. Finally, I head back to my place, exhausted but happy. Villefranche-de-Rouergue, you’ve got my heart racing! I can’t wait to paint all this madness. What a day, right? I’m gonna sleep like a baby tonight.
