Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still reeling from it. So, I wake up in my cozy little flat on Rue de la République, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I head to my fave café, Café de la Paix, for my morning fix. I order my usual—café au lait and a croissant. But guess what? They’re outta croissants! Like, how do you run out of croissants in France? I mean, c’mon! So, I settle for a pain au chocolat. Not the same, but whatever. I’m trying to keep it positive, ya know? After that, I stroll down Rue de la Liberté. It’s a cute street, full of little shops and stuff. I’m just vibin’, when I bump into this old dude. He’s like, “Hey, you’re a counselor, right?” I’m like, “Yeah, how’d you know?” Turns out, he’s been to my sessions. Small world, huh? We chat for a bit, and he tells me about his cat, which is cool, but then he starts crying about his late wife. Ugh, my heart! I’m trying to be supportive, but man, it’s heavy. So, I’m feeling all emotional now, right? I decide to take a walk by the Saône River. It’s beautiful there, with the water glistening and the boats floating by. I sit on a bench, trying to collect my thoughts. But then, outta nowhere, this kid runs by, kicks a soccer ball, and it hits me right in the leg! Like, seriously?! I’m just trying to have a moment here! I laugh it off, but inside, I’m like, “What’s next? A pigeon pooping on my head?” After that, I head to my afternoon sessions. I’m in the office on Rue de la République again, and let me tell you, it’s a rollercoaster. One client is all smiles, talking about their new job. I’m pumped for them! But then, the next one comes in, and they’re a total wreck. They’re crying, saying they feel lost. I’m like, “Dude, I get it. Life’s a mess sometimes.” By the time I finish, I’m emotionally drained. I step outside, and it’s raining! Like, really? I just wanna go home! I dash to my car, but of course, I can’t find my keys. I’m searching everywhere, cursing under my breath. Finally, I find them in my bag, buried under a bunch of papers. Classic me, right? I drive home, and the rain’s pouring. I’m blasting some tunes, trying to shake off the day. I pull up to my place, and guess what? My neighbor’s dog is barking like crazy. I swear, that dog has it out for me. I just wanna chill, but nooo, it’s barking like it’s auditioning for a role in a horror movie. Finally, I get inside, and I’m like, “Thank goodness!” I pour myself a glass of wine and plop on the couch. I think about the day—how it was a mix of joy, sadness, and pure chaos. Villefranche-sur-Saône, you’ve got my heart, but man, you sure know how to keep things interesting! So, here I am, reflecting on it all. Life’s a wild ride, especially in this little town. I wouldn’t trade it for anything, even with all the craziness. Cheers to tomorrow, right?
