Man, what a day! I’m a forester, right? So, I’m used to chillin’ in the woods, surrounded by trees and birds, not the chaos of Villepinte. But today? Wow. Just wow. So, I roll into Villepinte, right? First thing I notice is the hustle. Like, people everywhere! I’m talkin’ about the streets—Avenue de la République, Rue de la Gare—packed! I’m like, “Where’s the forest?!” I miss my trees already. I’m tryin’ to find this café, Café de la Gare, or somethin’. I’m starving, man! But I get lost. Like, how do you get lost in a city? I’m wanderin’ around, and I swear, I see the same guy selling crepes like three times. Dude must be a magician or something. Finally, I find the café. I order a croissant and a coffee. The barista? Super chill, but I’m like, “Dude, can you hurry? I got places to be!” I mean, I’m not used to waitin’ in line. In the forest, it’s just me and the squirrels. So, I sit down, and this guy next to me starts talkin’ about the weather. I’m like, “Bro, I’m a forester. I know weather.” But he’s all into it, like, “Did you see the forecast?” I’m thinkin’, “Dude, I can tell you if it’s gonna rain by lookin’ at the clouds.” After my coffee, I decide to check out Parc des Expositions. Big place, lots of events. I’m hopin’ to see some nature stuff, maybe a tree expo or somethin’. But nah, it’s all tech and gadgets. I’m like, “Where’s the wood?!” Then, I bump into this old lady. She’s got a dog, and the dog’s just chillin’. I’m like, “Nice pup!” She starts tellin’ me about her life. I’m tryin’ to be polite, but inside I’m like, “Lady, I gotta go!” But she’s sweet, and I can’t just ditch her. She tells me about Villepinte’s history. Did you know it used to be a village? Now it’s all modern and stuff. I’m thinkin’, “Man, I’d love to plant some trees here.” But then I remember, they probably wouldn’t let me. So, I’m walkin’ around, and I see this street performer. He’s playin’ the accordion, and it’s kinda nice. I stop for a sec, and I’m feelin’ all warm inside. Like, maybe Villepinte ain’t so bad after all. But then, some kid runs by and knocks over my coffee! I’m like, “Seriously?!” I get mad, but then I see the kid’s face. He’s all wide-eyed and sorry. I can’t stay mad. I just laugh it off. “It’s cool, kid. Just don’t do it again!” Later, I head to Rue de la République. It’s busy, and I’m dodging people like I’m in a video game. I see a shop selling local honey. I love honey! I grab a jar, and the lady at the counter is super nice. She tells me about the bees. I’m like, “Yeah, I know bees. They’re my buddies.” By now, I’m feelin’ a mix of emotions. Happy, angry, surprised. Villepinte’s got a vibe, ya know? It’s not the forest, but it’s alive. As the sun sets, I’m walkin’ back to my car. I pass by the train station, and it’s lit up. Looks kinda magical. I think about how different life is here. I mean, I love my trees, but this city? It’s got its own charm. I hop in my car, and I’m exhausted. But I can’t stop smilin’. Villepinte, you crazy place. You surprised me today. I’ll be back, but next time, I’m bringin’ my forest vibes with me!
