Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in Wattrelos, right? The sun’s barely up, and I’m already feelin’ the chaos. I’m a stylist, but today? Today was like a fashion tornado hit the city. First off, I’m cruisin’ down Rue de la République, and I swear, the vibe is off. Like, people are grumpy. I mean, c’mon, it’s a beautiful day! But nah, everyone’s just trudging along like they lost their favorite pair of shoes or something. I’m like, “Yo, smile a bit!” But no one’s havin’ it. Then, I get to this boutique on Rue du Général de Gaulle. It’s my go-to spot for vintage finds. I walk in, and boom! The owner, Marie, is in a tizzy. She’s like, “I can’t find my best dress!” I’m thinkin’, “Girl, it’s just a dress!” But it’s her favorite, and she’s all dramatic about it. I mean, I get it, but c’mon! So, I help her look, right? We’re rummaging through racks, and I’m getting all these weird looks from customers. Like, chill, we’re just lookin’ for a dress, not robbing the place! Finally, we find it stuffed behind some ugly sweater. I’m like, “Who even buys this?” But Marie’s face lights up like it’s Christmas. I’m happy for her, but also, I need coffee. After that, I head over to the Parc de la Deûle. I need a breather. I sit on a bench, and this kid runs by with a balloon. I’m like, “Aww, cute!” But then, the balloon pops! And the kid starts wailing like it’s the end of the world. I’m cracking up, but also feelin’ bad. Kids, man. They take everything so seriously. Then, I get a call from a client. She’s freaking out about her wedding dress. I’m like, “Chill, girl, I got you.” But she’s all, “What if it rains?” I’m like, “We live in Wattrelos, not the Amazon!” But I get it. Wedding stress is real. So, I promise her I’ll bring some cute umbrellas. Next, I’m off to Rue de l’Industrie. There’s this fab little café I love. I order a croissant and a café au lait. The barista, Pierre, is super chill. He’s like, “You look stressed.” I’m like, “Dude, you have no idea.” But he just laughs and hands me my coffee. Best part of my day, honestly. Then, I get this wild idea. I’m gonna do a pop-up styling session in the park! I post it on Insta, and boom! People start showing up. I’m styling folks left and right. It’s chaos, but it’s fun! I’m like, “You need more color!” or “That hat is a no-go!” People are loving it. I’m feeling like a rockstar. But then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain. Like, seriously? I’m like, “Wattrelos, why you gotta do me like this?” Everyone’s scrambling for cover. I’m laughing, but also, I’m soaked. My hair’s a mess, and I’m like, “Great, I’m a stylist, and I look like a drowned rat.” Finally, I wrap it up and head home. I’m exhausted but happy. I think about the day, all the ups and downs. Wattrelos is wild, man. It’s got its quirks, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I love this city, even when it drives me nuts. So yeah, that was my day. Just another rollercoaster in Wattrelos. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
