Man, what a day! I swear, I thought I was just gonna chill in Alexandreia, grab a coffee, and maybe hit up a few spots. But nah, life had other plans. So, I woke up late, as usual. My alarm? Yeah, it decided to take a vacation. I jumped outta bed, threw on whatever I could find. You know how it is. I mean, who needs matching socks, right? First stop: the café on Vasilissis Sofias. Best coffee in town, no cap. I ordered my usual—double espresso, extra shot of chaos. The barista, this dude named Nikos, was like, “You look like you need it.” I laughed, but honestly, he wasn’t wrong. After that, I strolled down to the main square, Plateia Eleftherias. It was buzzing! People everywhere, kids running around, old folks chatting. I love that vibe. But then, outta nowhere, this kid on a bike zooms past me and nearly takes me out. Like, chill, dude! It’s not a racetrack! I was still chuckling when I bumped into my buddy, Alex. He’s a teacher, and he was all fired up about some new curriculum. “Dude, they want us to teach ancient Greek in a fun way!” he said. I was like, “Good luck with that!” I mean, ancient Greek? Fun? C’mon! Then, I decided to hit up the local market on 28is Oktovriou Street. Fresh fruits, veggies, and all that good stuff. I grabbed some figs—so sweet, they could make a grown man cry. But then, I saw this old lady arguing with a vendor. She was like, “I’m not paying that much for tomatoes!” I felt her pain. I mean, who wants to get ripped off on tomatoes? After the market, I headed to the park by the river. It’s called the Aliakmonas River, and it’s beautiful. I plopped down on a bench, just soaking it all in. But then, my phone buzzed. It was a client. “I need to talk NOW!” Ugh, can’t a psychologist catch a break? I took the call, and let me tell you, it was a rollercoaster. This guy was going through some heavy stuff. I was trying to be all professional, but inside, I was like, “Why today? Why now?” But hey, that’s the job, right? After the call, I needed a breather. So, I walked over to the old Byzantine church on Agiou Nikolaou Street. It’s stunning, man. The architecture is just wow. I sat there for a bit, trying to clear my head. But then, this group of tourists showed up, taking selfies like it was the last day on Earth. I mean, chill, guys! Finally, I decided to wrap up my day. I hit up a taverna on Egnatia Street. Ordered some moussaka and a glass of retsina. Heaven! But then, the waiter spilled wine all over my lap. I was like, “Great, just what I needed!” But we laughed it off. As I walked home, I couldn’t help but think about the day. It was chaotic, emotional, and totally unexpected. But that’s life in Alexandreia, I guess. Full of surprises, laughter, and a bit of madness. So yeah, that was my day. Just another wild ride in this beautiful city. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
