Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still buzzing from all the craziness in Alexandroupoli. Like, where do I even start? So, I woke up late, as usual. My alarm? Yeah, it decided to take a day off. I jumped outta bed, threw on some clothes, and bolted out the door. I mean, who needs breakfast, right? Not me! I’m a music editor, not a chef. First stop, the waterfront. You know, that beautiful promenade along the Aegean Sea? It’s like my happy place. The sun was shining, and the waves were crashing. I could almost hear a symphony in the background. But then, bam! I stepped in some dog poop. Ugh! Seriously, people? Clean up after your pets! I was so mad, I almost lost my cool. Anyway, I shook it off and headed to the café on 14th May Street. Best coffee in town, no joke. I ordered my usual—double espresso, extra shot. I needed that caffeine boost. While I was waiting, I spotted this street performer. Dude was playing the bouzouki like a rockstar! I mean, I love music, but this guy was on another level. I tossed him a couple of euros. He smiled, and I felt all warm and fuzzy inside. Then, outta nowhere, my phone buzzed. It was my boss. “We need the new track by EOD!” he texts. EOD? Really? I’m in Alexandroupoli, not a freaking time machine! I had to hustle back to my studio on Dimokratias Street. On the way, I passed by the old lighthouse. It’s iconic, you know? I always think about how many stories that thing has seen. But today, it was just a backdrop to my stress. I was like, “C’mon, lighthouse, give me some inspiration!” Finally, I made it to the studio. I plugged in my gear and started working. But then, my computer crashed. Like, are you kidding me? I could feel my blood boiling. I was ready to throw it out the window. But instead, I took a deep breath and went for a walk. I strolled down to the beach. The sand was warm, and the sea breeze was refreshing. I sat there for a bit, just listening to the waves. It’s funny how nature can calm you down. I thought about how lucky I am to live in such a beautiful place. Alexandroupoli has its quirks, but it’s home. After a while, I headed back to the studio. I managed to salvage the track. It was a mix of traditional Greek vibes and modern beats. I was pumped! I sent it off to my boss, and he replied with a thumbs up. Phew! But the day wasn’t over yet. I decided to treat myself to dinner at a taverna on the waterfront. I ordered grilled octopus and a glass of ouzo. Heaven! I was sitting there, watching the sunset, feeling grateful. Then, I overheard this couple arguing at the next table. It was hilarious! They were bickering about who forgot to bring the sunscreen. I couldn’t help but chuckle. I mean, c’mon, it’s not rocket science! As I finished my meal, I realized how much I love this city. The chaos, the beauty, the people. Alexandroupoli is a wild ride, but it’s my wild ride. I headed home, exhausted but happy. What a day, right? I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
