Man, what a day! I swear, Kiato really knows how to throw a curveball. So, I’m a car instructor, right? And today was just... wow. First off, I roll into town, and it’s like the sun decided to throw a party. I’m talkin’ bright, blazin’ hot. I park my ride on 28th October Street, and I’m already sweating like a sinner in church. But hey, it’s Kiato, right? Gotta love that summer vibe. So, I meet my first student, this kid named Alex. He’s all nervous, fidgeting like he’s got ants in his pants. We hop in the car, and I’m like, “Dude, chill! It’s just driving.” But nah, he’s gripping the wheel like it’s a lifeline. We start cruising down the coastal road, and I’m tryin’ to keep it cool. Then, outta nowhere, this cat runs across the street! I’m like, “Whoa, Alex! Hit the brakes!” He slams on ‘em, and we come to a screeching halt. I’m half-expecting the cat to pull a stunt and start breakdancing. But nah, it just stares at us like we’re the weirdos. Classic Kiato moment, right? After that, we hit the main square, and I’m feelin’ good. The vibe is chill, people are out and about, grabbing souvlaki from the food stalls. I’m thinkin’, “Man, I could go for some of that.” But then, Alex decides to take a turn onto a one-way street. I’m like, “Bro, what are you doin’?!” He’s all panicked, and I’m just losing it. “This ain’t a video game, man!” I’m yelling, but he’s too busy sweating bullets. We narrowly miss a parked car, and I’m pretty sure my heart skipped a beat. Finally, we get back on track, and I’m tryin’ to calm him down. We drive past the Kiato train station, and I’m like, “Look, Alex! Trains! They don’t crash like we almost did!” He cracks a smile, and I’m like, “Yes! Progress!” Next, we head towards the beach. The view is stunning, man. The waves crashing, people sunbathing, and I’m just soaking it all in. But then, I see this group of kids playing soccer. And guess what? One of ‘em kicks the ball right into our car! I’m like, “Seriously?!” I hop out, and the kids are all “Sorry, mister!” I can’t help but laugh. I mean, it’s Kiato! You gotta roll with the punches. I tell ‘em it’s all good, and they start asking me for driving tips. I’m like, “Dude, you’re like 10. Focus on soccer!” After that, we finally get back to driving. I’m feeling a bit more relaxed, and Alex is starting to get the hang of it. We cruise down the beautiful streets, passing by the old church on the corner of Agios Nikolaos. It’s a sight, man. But then, outta nowhere, this old lady crosses the street, and Alex almost freaks out again. I’m like, “Chill, bro! She’s got the right of way!” I swear, I’m gonna need a drink after this. Finally, we wrap up the lesson, and I’m exhausted. I drop Alex off, and I’m just thinking about how wild the day was. I mean, Kiato is beautiful, but it’s also a total rollercoaster. I head to my favorite café on the corner of Kallithea Street. I order a frappe, and I’m just sitting there, reflecting on the day. I can’t help but chuckle. It’s days like this that make me love my job. So yeah, Kiato, you crazy little town. You’ve got my heart racing and my spirits high. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
