OMG, what a day! Like, seriously, I can’t even. So, I woke up in my little room on Kountouriotou Street, the sun was shining, and I thought, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I had a tea ceremony planned. You know, the whole zen vibe? But then, my friend Yuki texted me. She was like, “Hey, let’s hit the beach at Alykes!” I mean, who can resist a beach day, right? So, I ditched the tea and off I went. The walk to the beach was wild. I passed by the port, and the smell of fresh seafood hit me. Ugh, my stomach was like, “Feed me!” But I had to resist. I mean, I’m a Geisha, not a food truck. But then, I saw this cute little taverna on Argonauton Street. I couldn’t help myself. I grabbed a souvlaki. It was heavenly! Like, I could’ve married it. So, I finally made it to Alykes. The water was sparkling, and I was ready to chill. But then, outta nowhere, this kid starts splashing me. I was like, “Dude, chill!” But he just laughed. Kids, am I right? Then, I met this guy, Alex. He was super cute, but also super annoying. He kept talking about how he’s a “beach expert.” Like, okay, buddy, you’re not a lifeguard. But I played along. We ended up chatting about Volos and how it’s the best city ever. I mean, it really is! The vibe, the people, the food—ugh, I love it! But then, the clouds rolled in. Seriously, one minute it was sunny, and the next, it was like a scene from a horror movie. I was like, “No way, not today!” But the rain came pouring down. I was soaked! I ran for cover under a beach umbrella, looking like a drowned rat. And then, guess what? I lost my phone! I was freaking out. I mean, how am I supposed to Instagram my life without my phone? I searched everywhere, even in the sand. I was ready to cry. But then, this nice old lady found it! She was like, “Is this yours, dear?” I was so relieved, I could’ve hugged her. After the rain, the sun came back out. It was like a miracle! I decided to head back to the city. I walked along the waterfront, and the view was stunning. The mountains in the background, the sea, the boats—ugh, I love Volos! But then, I got lost. Like, how does that even happen? I ended up on Dimitriou Gounari Street, and I had no idea where I was. I was panicking a bit. But then, I saw a cute little shop. They had the best handmade jewelry. I couldn’t resist. I bought a bracelet. It was like a little piece of Volos to take home. Finally, I found my way back. I was exhausted but happy. I plopped down at a café on Ermou Street. I ordered a frappe and just sat there, soaking it all in. The people, the sounds, the smells—everything was perfect. So yeah, my day was a rollercoaster. From beach splashes to lost phones, it was intense. But that’s Volos for ya. Always keeping me on my toes! Can’t wait for tomorrow. Who knows what’ll happen next?
