Man, what a day! I swear, Bjelovar really knows how to throw a curveball. So, I’m a furrier, right? Yeah, I know, kinda old-school, but hey, someone’s gotta keep the fur game alive. Anyway, I woke up this morning, ready to tackle the day. The sun was shining, birds were chirping, and I thought, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit the streets of Bjelovar, and lemme tell ya, the vibe was off. I strolled down Trg Eugena Kvaternika, and it was like a scene from a movie. People everywhere, but no one was smiling. Just a bunch of grumpy faces. I mean, c’mon, it’s a beautiful day! But whatever, I’m not here to judge. I get to my shop on Ulica kralja Tomislava, and boom! My delivery of pelts is late. Like, seriously? I’m standing there, tapping my foot, thinking about how I could’ve been sipping coffee at my fave spot, Caffe Bar Kavana. But nooo, I’m stuck waiting for some dude who probably got lost. Classic. Finally, the guy shows up, and he’s got this look on his face like he just ran a marathon. I’m like, “Dude, you good?” He just mumbles something about traffic on Ulica bana Josipa Jelačića. I roll my eyes. Traffic? In Bjelovar? It’s not like we’re in Zagreb or something! So, I start unpacking the pelts, and I’m all excited. I mean, these are gonna make some killer coats. But then, I notice one of them has a tear. A TEAR! I’m fuming. Like, who does that? I’m not running a discount store here! I call the supplier, and let’s just say, they weren’t exactly helpful. “Sorry for the inconvenience.” Ugh, I could’ve thrown my phone out the window. After that fiasco, I needed a break. So, I head over to the park by the Bjelovar Cathedral. It’s a nice spot, you know? I sit on a bench, trying to calm down. But then, this kid runs by with a balloon, and it pops right in front of me. I jump like I’m in a horror movie! The kid just laughs and runs off. Kids, man. They’re wild. Then, I get a call from a client. She wants a custom coat, and she’s super picky. I mean, I get it, but c’mon! She’s talking about colors and styles like she’s designing a spaceship. I’m just trying to make a coat here! But I nod and smile, pretending I’m all in. Inside, I’m like, “Lady, it’s fur, not rocket science!” After that, I finally get back to work. I’m sewing away, and I start thinking about how Bjelovar is such a cool place. The mix of old and new, you know? Like, you got the old buildings on Ulica Antuna Mihanovića, and then these modern cafes popping up everywhere. It’s like the city can’t decide what it wants to be. But I love it. It’s home. As the day winds down, I’m exhausted but kinda happy. I mean, yeah, it was a rollercoaster, but that’s life, right? I pack up my stuff and head out, ready to grab a drink at my favorite bar, Pivnica. I need a cold one after today! So, I’m walking down the street, and I see this street performer playing the accordion. He’s actually pretty good! I stop to listen, and for a moment, all my stress melts away. Bjelovar, you sneaky little city, you know how to lift my spirits. And that’s my day. Full of ups and downs, but hey, that’s what makes it interesting. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
