Wow, what a day! Seriously, I’m still reeling from it. So, I wake up in my little apartment on Riva Lošinjskih Kapetana, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I decide to grab some coffee at this cute little café on the corner of Ulica Lošinjskih Pomoraca. You know, the one with the blue shutters? Yeah, that one. I order my usual—cappuccino, extra foam, because why not? But the barista, bless her heart, totally messes it up. I get a flat white instead. I mean, c’mon! I’m not a flat white kinda person! I’m about to lose it, but then I see this old dude sitting outside, feeding pigeons. He’s got this huge smile, and I can’t help but laugh. Like, who feeds pigeons in 2023? Anyway, I take my flat white and stroll down to the waterfront. The view is insane! The turquoise water, the boats bobbing around, and the smell of the sea. I’m feeling good again. But then, BAM! I trip over a cobblestone. Classic me, right? I’m sprawled out on the ground, and this group of tourists starts laughing. I mean, really? I’m just trying to enjoy Mali Lošinj, and I’m the entertainment? After that little fiasco, I head over to the Mali Lošinj Museum. I’m all about that culture, you know? But the exhibit on the island’s maritime history? Yawn. I’m trying to stay awake, but it’s like watching paint dry. I mean, how many ship models can one person look at? I’m about to bail when I overhear this couple arguing. They’re going at it, and I’m just standing there, eavesdropping like a total creep. Turns out, they’re fighting over which beach is better—Veli Žal or Čikat. I’m like, “Dude, just go to both!” So, I finally escape the museum and decide to hit up the beach. I’m thinking, “This is gonna be the highlight.” I plop down on the sand at Čikat, and it’s packed. Families, kids, sunbathers—everyone’s there. I’m just trying to chill when this kid runs by and splashes me with water. I’m soaked! I’m like, “Really, kid?!” But then I see him laughing with his friends, and I can’t help but smile. Kids have that magic, you know? Then, outta nowhere, I get a call from a client. They’re having a meltdown. I’m trying to give them advice while dodging beach balls and seagulls. It’s chaos! I’m like, “Breathe, just breathe!” But I’m also thinking, “Why did I choose this job?” After the call, I’m feeling a bit drained. I decide to walk along the promenade on Ulica 1. Maja. The sunset is gorgeous, painting the sky in pinks and oranges. I stop at a gelato place—because, duh, gelato fixes everything. I get a scoop of pistachio and one of lemon. Heaven! But then, I see this guy I used to date. Awkward! He’s with someone new, and they look so happy. I’m trying to act cool, but inside, I’m like, “Why am I still single?” I mean, come on! As I’m walking back, I pass by the Church of St. Nicholas. It’s beautiful, and I take a moment to just breathe. I think about my day—how it was a rollercoaster of emotions. From coffee disasters to beach splashes, to awkward ex encounters. Mali Lošinj, you’ve got my heart, but you also drive me nuts! Finally, I get home, and I’m exhausted. I flop onto my couch, thinking about how tomorrow’s gonna be a whole new adventure. But for now, I’m just grateful for this crazy, beautiful day in Mali Lošinj. What a ride!
