Man, what a day! I woke up in Rovinj, and let me tell ya, this place is a freakin’ gem. The sun was shining like it was trying to impress someone. I mean, who wouldn’t wanna wake up to that? I grabbed my sketchbook and headed out, ready to soak in the vibes. First stop? Grisia Street. It’s this super cute, narrow street with all these art galleries. I was feelin’ inspired, ya know? But then, bam! I tripped over a cobblestone. Classic me, right? I laughed it off, but my knee was like, “Hey, dude, chill.” So I’m wandering around, and I see this little café on the corner of Trg Marsala Tita. The smell of fresh pastries hit me like a freight train. I ordered a cappuccino and a croissant. Best decision ever! I mean, who knew a croissant could taste like heaven? I was on cloud nine, sipping my coffee, watching the world go by. Then, outta nowhere, this seagull swoops down and tries to steal my croissant! Like, excuse me, Mr. Bird, that’s my breakfast! I waved my arms like a madman, and the bird just looked at me like, “Really, dude?” I was so mad, but also kinda impressed. That bird had guts. After my breakfast drama, I decided to hit the beach. The water was crystal clear, and I just had to jump in. I mean, who wouldn’t? But the moment I hit the water, I realized it was freezing! I screamed like a little kid. People were staring, and I was like, “Yeah, I meant to do that.” Later, I strolled down to the old town. The architecture is insane! I mean, the buildings are like, centuries old. I felt like I was walking through a postcard. I stopped by the Church of St. Euphemia. The tower is so tall, it’s like it’s trying to touch the sky. I climbed up, and the view? Wow. Just wow. Rovinj looked like a painting. But then, I got a bit lost. I took a wrong turn on Ulica Montalbano. I was like, “Where the heck am I?” I ended up in this tiny alley that smelled like fresh seafood. I was hungry again, so I popped into a konoba. The waiter was super chill and recommended some local fish. I was like, “Sure, why not?” While I was waiting, I overheard this couple arguing. It was hilarious! They were bickering about who forgot the sunscreen. I mean, come on! It’s Rovinj! You gotta be prepared! I couldn’t help but chuckle. Finally, my food came, and it was delish! I devoured it like I hadn’t eaten in days. I was so happy, I could’ve danced. But then, I remembered I can’t dance. So I just sat there, grinning like an idiot. As the sun started to set, I made my way to the waterfront. The sky was on fire with colors. I felt this wave of gratitude wash over me. Rovinj, you’ve got my heart. But then, I saw a group of tourists trying to take a selfie. They were all crammed together, and one dude was holding a giant fish. I couldn’t help but laugh. Like, who brings a fish to a selfie? By the time I headed back, I was exhausted but so full of life. I had this crazy mix of emotions—happy, surprised, and a bit angry at that seagull. But that’s life, right? Full of unexpected twists. So yeah, Rovinj, you’ve been a wild ride today. I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
