Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still buzzing from it. So, I wake up in Umag, right? Sun’s blasting through my window like it’s trying to wake the dead. I’m a Torcador, which means I’m all about that fishing life. But today? Today was a whole different fish story. First off, I hit the streets. I’m talking about the old town, you know? The cobblestones on Trg Slobode are like a time machine. I swear, I could feel the history. But then, bam! I trip over my own feet. Classic me. I’m like, “Great start, genius.” So, I’m walking down Ulica J. D. B. and I see this cute little café. You know the one, right? The one with the best pastries. I grab a coffee and a croissant. I mean, who can resist? But then, this seagull swoops down and snatches my croissant! Like, what the heck, dude? I’m just trying to enjoy my breakfast! After that, I’m feeling a bit salty, but whatever. I head to the marina. The boats are all lined up, looking fancy. I’m thinking, “Man, I need one of those.” But then I remember my bank account. Ha! Not happening. I meet up with my buddy, Luka. He’s always got some wild stories. Today, he tells me about this giant fish he caught last week. I’m like, “Dude, you sure it wasn’t just a boot?” We laugh, but I’m low-key jealous. I wanna catch something epic too! Then, we decide to hit the beach. The sun’s shining, and the water’s calling my name. I dive in, and it’s freezing! But refreshing, you know? I’m splashing around, feeling like a kid again. Then, outta nowhere, this kid throws a beach ball at me. I catch it, and I’m like, “Look at me, I’m a pro!” But then I throw it back, and it hits some guy in the face. Oops! Sorry, dude! After the beach, we stroll down Ulica 1. Maja. It’s packed with tourists. I’m people-watching, and it’s hilarious. There’s this couple arguing about directions. I’m just standing there, sipping my drink, thinking, “You’re in Umag, just follow the sea!” But then, I see this street performer. He’s playing the accordion, and it’s actually kinda good. I toss him a kuna, and he gives me a nod. I feel like a hero for a second. As the day winds down, I’m feeling all sorts of emotions. Happy, angry, surprised. I mean, who knew a day in Umag could be this wild? I head back to my place, and I’m just thinking about how life’s a rollercoaster. One minute you’re eating croissants, the next you’re dodging beach balls. I plop down on my couch, exhausted but happy. Umag, you crazy little town, you’ve done it again. Can’t wait for tomorrow!
