Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in Velika-Gorica, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up Trg Kralja Tomislava. You know, the main square? I’m just vibin’, grabbing a coffee from my fave spot, Caffe Bar Kavana. The barista, Marko, is always cracking jokes. He’s like, “You want your coffee strong enough to wake the dead?” I’m like, “Dude, I need it to wake ME!” 😂 So, I’m sippin’ my coffee, feeling all good, when BOOM! A pigeon poops right on my shoulder. Like, seriously? I’m in Velika-Gorica, not a freakin’ bird sanctuary! I’m wiping it off, and this old lady walks by, laughing her head off. I’m like, “Thanks, lady, I needed that.” After that, I decide to stroll down Ulica Velikogorička. It’s a nice street, full of shops and stuff. I’m just minding my own business when I see this street performer. He’s playing the accordion, and honestly, he’s pretty good. I throw him a couple of kuna, and he gives me a nod. I’m feeling generous, you know? But then, outta nowhere, this kid runs by, knocks me over, and spills his ice cream all over my shoes. I’m like, “Dude, what’s your problem?” He just laughs and runs off. Kids these days, man. No respect! I finally make it to the park, Park Franje Tuđmana. It’s beautiful there, trees everywhere, people chilling. I sit on a bench, trying to calm down. But then, I see this couple arguing. Like, full-on shouting. I’m just trying to enjoy my day, and they’re making it hard. I’m thinking, “Get a room, guys!” Then, I spot my buddy, Luka. He’s jogging, looking all fit and stuff. I’m like, “Dude, save some energy for the rest of us!” He laughs and joins me on the bench. We start talking about the latest football match. Dinamo vs. Hajduk, you know? Classic rivalry. Suddenly, it starts to rain. Outta nowhere! I’m like, “Great, just what I needed.” We dash to the nearest café, which is, of course, packed. Everyone’s crammed in there, and I’m just trying to find a spot. I finally squeeze in next to this guy who’s hogging the table. I’m like, “Bro, you got a whole table for yourself?” After a while, the rain stops, and I’m feeling a bit better. We head out, and I decide to check out the Velika Gorica Museum. It’s small but cool. I’m looking at this old stuff, and I’m like, “Wow, people actually lived like this?” It’s kinda mind-blowing. But then, I get a text from my sister. She’s like, “I need you to pick up groceries.” I’m like, “Seriously? I’m in the middle of a cultural experience!” But, you know, family first. So, I head to the supermarket on Ulica Stjepana Radića. I’m in there, trying to remember what she wanted. I’m wandering around, and I see this lady with a cart full of snacks. I’m like, “Girl, you’re living your best life!” I grab some chips and soda, thinking, “This’ll do.” Finally, I get home, exhausted. I flop on the couch, and I’m like, “What a day!” I can’t believe all the craziness. Velika-Gorica, you never fail to surprise me. I love this city, even with its pigeon poop and ice cream disasters. So, yeah, that was my day. Just another wild ride in Velika-Gorica!
