After that, I decide to hit the beach. Balaton is stunning, man. The water’s like a postcard. I’m chilling on the sand, soaking up the sun, when I see this group of tourists trying to take a selfie. They’re all awkward, arms flailing, and I’m just there, like, “Dude, just ask someone!” But nah, they’re determined. It’s hilarious.
Then, outta nowhere, this storm rolls in. Like, one minute it’s sunny, the next it’s dark as night. I’m sprinting to the nearest shelter, which happens to be a little shop on Széchenyi utca. I duck in, and guess what? They’re selling the best lángos ever! I mean, I’m not even mad about the rain anymore. I grab one, and it’s like heaven in my mouth.
But then, the power goes out. Seriously? I’m stuck in this tiny shop, eating my delicious lángos, and it’s pitch black. I’m thinking, “Great, now I’m gonna die in Balatonfüred.” But the shop owner? He’s chill. He lights some candles, and we all start chatting. Turns out, he’s got some wild stories about the lake. Like, did you know there’s a legend about a mermaid? I’m all ears, man.
