Man, what a day! I swear, being a shepherd in Berettyóújfalu is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s barely up, and I’m already out on the streets. I mean, who needs sleep when you got sheep to tend to? First off, I’m strolling down Kossuth Lajos utca, and I’m just vibin’. The air’s fresh, and the smell of fresh bread from the bakery hits me. I’m like, “Yesss, give me that!” But then, bam! A flock of sheep decides to play hide and seek. Like, seriously? I’m chasing them down like I’m in some sheep Olympics. I finally catch up to them near the Berettyó River. Man, that water is cold! I almost slipped and fell in. Can you imagine? “Shepherd drowns in river while chasing sheep.” That’d be my headline. LOL. So, I’m wrangling these woolly beasts when I bump into this old dude, János. He’s always got some wild stories. Today, he’s telling me about the time he saw a UFO over the Berettyóújfalu train station. I’m like, “Dude, you sure it wasn’t just a drone?” But he’s dead serious. I mean, who knows? Maybe aliens love sheep too. After that, I head over to the market on Fő utca. It’s packed! I’m dodging people left and right. I grab some fresh veggies, and this lady tries to sell me some weird-looking cheese. I’m like, “Nah, I’m good.” But she insists, “It’s the best in town!” I’m thinking, “Lady, I’ve had better cheese from my neighbor’s fridge.” Then, outta nowhere, I hear this loud commotion. Turns out, some kids are playing football, and one of them kicks the ball right into my sheep pen. I’m like, “Great, just what I needed!” So, I’m chasing after the ball, and the kids are laughing their heads off. I’m trying to be all serious, but inside, I’m cracking up too. Finally, I get the ball back, and the kids are like, “You’re the best, mister!” I’m blushing, but I play it cool. “Yeah, yeah, just doing my job.” But honestly, that made my day. As the sun starts to set, I’m walking back home, and I can’t help but think about how crazy today was. I mean, Berettyóújfalu is a small town, but it’s got its charm. The streets, the people, the random events – it’s all part of the ride. I get home, plop down on my couch, and just laugh. What a day! I’m exhausted, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Tomorrow’s another day, and who knows what’ll happen next? Maybe I’ll finally meet those aliens. Or maybe just more sheep drama. Either way, bring it on!
